It’s over, but I hope we can stay Friends!

IMG_4508.JPGIt’s really not about you, this is all about me. And no, there is no other Country or group of international travellers I am leaving you for. Sometimes even good things must come to an end.
No, jokes aside for a moment.

A beautiful time in my life is coming to an end. A time full of new impressions and experiences, full of
laughters and late nights.
I remember it as if it was yesterday, how I was bursting out in excitement to finally come to Canada. At the beginning everything is always so exciting, that the days just fly by. IMG_5013.JPGEverything was new and different, simply interesting and I tried to take in as much as I could. Without me noticing it, those interesting and new impressions turned into a routine. And I can proudly say, that this is the most exciting thing out of all of them. Because of the most amazing job (we all know it ;’D) and the most amazing friendships I gained, Vancouver became my home.
I need to thank each and everyone of you for being as 00f9bb16-0a62-4d21-bb8d-81ac745542f6.JPGgreat and unique as you are. As I mentioned it before, we are a crazy and absolutely mixed up group of individuals. Who knows, if we would have been friends, if we would have met in any other way. But most important is, that we are friends now.
Therefore a massive thank you! You made this job and my life here in Vancouver so so much fun. And I wish you all the best for 93b40c58-b749-4808-bd5a-b37c6e30bd2e.JPGeverything that is laying ahead.

4f3f7559-5bc5-4444-bc09-9fc947a8f26f.JPGAlso a huge thank you to the INTERNeX team, thank you Tim, Felicitas, Mina and Simon for supporting me and giving me this fantastic opportunity to grow! I appreciate everything so much and I honestly don’t know how to thank you enough.

However, I am trying to keep this as brief and juicy as possible.
Let’s not make this a goodbye, let’s make it a “see you”. Anything else would simply be too hard.
Stay as wonderful as you are and never stop travelling!
And please promise me one thing: This is over now, but please (!) let’s stay friends!

A1488CFB-1F64-47F7-B4C9-BA97CC3DF34C.JPGLove you all so much and I’ll miss you so so so much!!!
Thank you!
Over and Out!

Year Review – Part 1

Finally a new Blogpost. I know you must miss the daily INTERNeX Blogpost incredibly over the holidays. And because we don’t want you to be too heartbroken, we have something very special prepared for you in the upcoming days:
As the year of 2019 is coming to an end, this is the perfect opportunity to take a look at what happened the past year. There were truly some great highlights and events, that made the year 2019 very special. So we should take a closer look at the past months and thank everybody who made it as special as it was.

First of all, we have to point out, what a great group of people joined the INTERNeX family this year. So many who decided to spent this very outstanding time in their life along side of INTERNeX, thanks for being as great as you are. We are sure the experiences you made here in Canada (or the ones you will be making) will stay for a lifetime!
Furthermore we had a great group of PR-Coordinators making everything possible, organizing trips and events and just making this time unforgettable. And of course, thanks to the partners of ours that also put in a big impact of this very successful year!
img-20190302-wa0043-1-e1552434605363.jpgThe year started with Jasmin, coming all the way from Finland and taking over the job of the first PR-Coordinator in 2019. Starting from there we had a lot of stuff coming up, to keep everyone busy and well entertained. Thank you for doing a great job. Unfortunately I never got to meet you in person, but I heard many stories :-D. You will never be forgotten <3.
As the weeks passed by there was one major highlight coming up. img_20190317_123723-e1552952465741.jpgThe INTERNeX-crew made their way to Seattle, to smell some American Air for a change. Together with West-Trek the INTERNeXer got to leave Vancouver and see one of the most beautiful cities ever (right behind Vancouver of course ;)). Since I am only summarizing this, you are more than welcome to check out the whole story around it, the following link, will bring youright away to the post about it (https://internexcanada.wordpress.com/2019/03/18/how-was-your-weekend-91/). Last but not least, the INTERNeXer got to attend a very special event in Vancouver. img_20190323_173411-e1553560515397.jpgThe Fashion Week, and I am not talking about just any Fashion Week, but THE Fashion Week. If you are all about it, this was definitely a very exciting event. As the year continuous any other highlights were just waiting ahead.
More photos will always be provided on the Instagram profile, so just in case you are not one of our followers yet, make sure to do so >> internexcanada 🙂

Our journey through 2019 will continue soon.

Until then, I hope you are having a great time and Happy Holiday everyone!

Newest Addition to the PR – Team

Screen Shot 2019-12-03 at 2.47.42 PM

My name is Sabrina, I am 22 years old and I just started working here at INTERNeX.

I love my home country Australia but I also love to travel and experience different cultures. I study my Bachelor of Business in my home town Brisbane and I am working towards gaining experience in Human Resources and Public Relations.

I am currently in my first year of studying but I love to get out experience things in the real world (that’s why I couldn’t wait to travel). Since starting my Bachelor of Business I have also been involved in a university society where I have had experience in event planning and team building exercises. I am very excited to work with the INTERNeX team over the next 2 months.

In my free time I like to go to the beach, spend time with my friends and relax at a park. However, when I travel I love the winter and I can’t wait to see snow and go skiing.

Please don’t hesitate to come say hi at the upcoming events, I’m very friendly and I don’t bite! And I will happily tell you about how we ride kangaroos in Australia J

I am looking forward to meeting you at all the Pub-Crawl events every Wednesday!!

See you soon!

PuB NiGHT Review: The Beaver Tap house

Another Wednesday, another PuB NiGHT! Besides it was my second PuB NiGHT with the INTERNeX gang and my first PuB NiGHT I had to organize. After some researche I decided to reserve the Beaver Tap House. I wasn´t there before but their Internet review sounded good.

At the end of the night I probably can say, it was a good choice. I think everybody had a great evening.

After we managed that everybody had a good seat, we talked a lot about everything and everybody. I also met some new faces yesterday.

Furthermore it is to mention, that a special of the Beaver Bar is the famous music bingo every Wednesday. A song is played and you have to mark the singer and song title on your paper. Quite tough sometimes, but with team work we managed. In the first round Lukas and another girl, not from us, screamed BINGO simultaneously. But unfortunately she got the free Beer pitcher…

All in all the music bingo was really funny, and I am sure that someone of us will win the next time.

We left the Beaver Bar at about 11:30 pm, but some of us were not tired at this time yet. Because of that a part of the INTERNeX group went on to the Yale Saloon. At the Yale we were almost the only ones, which is why the DJ played the Tequila song especially for us. The dance floor was only occupied by INTERNEX people. It was pretty cool to dance together with 10 other guys in an empty Pub 😀

At the end of this blog post, I like to say that I had a great time last night and I hope you did too! Thanks for coming!

Now I´m really looking forward to the weekend.

Cause that’s when our great Whistler trip is coming up. I hope to see many of you there again.

See you on Saturday☺

Who I am? – Barbara the new PR Coordinator

If you have only once in your life the chance to do an practicum during your studies, you should take it immediately. The best way is to come to INTERNeX in Vancouver. After a difficult arrival, I finally made it (my eTA didn’t work and they almost wouldn’t let me fly). I am really curious about this unknown country. The first two days I was jet lagged. But now I am used to the nine-hour time difference.

To cut a long story short. My name is Barbara, I am 20 years old and do a dual degree study in Germany. My employer is the federal employment agency of Germany. I am living in the south of Germany more precisely in the federal state Bavaria.

What am I doing at home? In my free time I play the trombone at a brass band. Additionally I own a horse called Holiday. On the weekends I like to go hiking in the Bavarian mountains and in the winter months I go skiing very often. I live in a little village with my parents and my two sisters.

When they told me, that I have the opportunity to do an practicum abroad, my first thought was Canada. I did not believe that this would truly work, but now I am here. The first contact with Tim was great. He gave me the confirmation for the practicum very quick. I was really happy, that I could come to Vancouver. On the one hand I like to travel and see new places a lot. On the other I love the mountains. And Vancouver unites incredible mountains, the sea and the big city life.

For the next six weeks I will support the PR team of INTERNeX together with the other two new PR coordinators. I am very curious what awaits me.

I look forward to meeting you at tomorrows PuBNiGHT at the Yale!
