How was your weekend?

Friday 9 pm. We were sitting in the park. Waiting for the party to begin. Only ten minutes left. Our tickets work, we are in. The party can start. That was the moment my weekend could finally begin.

This Friday we went to DubVision, a party in the Harbour Event Centre. DubVision is a DJ duo from the Netherlands. We went in with our free tickets we received. When we walked in around 11:30 pm, the club was still not that crowded. We bought a drink and the club was becoming more crowded. There were two DJs playing nice music, but we still don’t know if that were guys or girls. There was another DJ playing music before DubVision was on stage. After a couple hours we went home.

Rise and shine, next day has arrived. After all the stuff I needed to do, we went to the sushi bar to eat sushi together. Afterwards we took the skytrain to Granville street where the pub crawl began. We first went to the Cinema Public House, where we began the night with a drink. After 45 minutes it was time to go to the Morrissey, where we sat on the couch singing German songs. So now we had the Oktoberfest part from the pub crawl. We went to Donnellans where we had our own space with tables and bar. We closed the night in the club Belmont Bar. After we danced our asses of, it was time to say goodbye.

Sunday was a lazy day. We went to a jazz thing in a church. After 30 minutes we saw it all, so we decided to go for a coffee at Take Five. Tip: the coffee with Caramel and Sea salt is actually salty. We sat and talked till it was time to go home for dinner. Hope your weekend was great as well.

See you at PuB NiGHT!

What to do on the weekend?

And another working week has gone by!! This means we can enjoy our free time the way we want it. To help you a bit we listed down some things you can do during your weekend.

There is nothing better than going to a nice hockey game after work right? So if you would like to go to a game then tonight is your chance to see the Giants play against Kamloops at the Langley Events Centre.

On Saturday we would like to take you all with us on our amazing pub crawl which starts at 8 pm in the Cinema Public House on Granville Street. We will visit a few 18+ pubs in the beginning and later at night the pub crawl will continue as a 19+ event. Don’t forget to bring two pieces of ID.

15217796900_7b64d1385b_o.jpgAnother big event going on this weekend is The Vancouver International Film Festival. The festival will take place from September 29th until October 14th. It’s the 35th edition with 350 movies to explore. The festival takes place at different locations such as the International Village Mall, Vancity Theatre, The Rio Theatre and many more venues. For more information you can check out the website of The Vancouver International Film Festival.

If you like something more cultural on your free Sunday then you can check out the Diwali Fest which takes place at Surrey City Hall and features live music and dance performances as well as an Indian-style market from 3 until 6 pm.

I hope you all will have an amazing weekend and of course we would like to see you all tomorrow at the pub crawl!

PuB NiGHT Review: 131 Water

Everybody who joined PuB NiGHT yesterday, thank you very much! We had a lot of fun.

The 131 Water pub is famous for their games and cheap drinks. And we made use of that! People were playing ‘Who am I?’ and ‘Cards against Humanity’. During the games we enjoyed the happy hour deals from 9 pm till 12 am. The pub is located in a very nice location in Gastown, close to the Metropole and because of that we sang some songs afterwards in this karaoke bar. We closed the night with some food and went home.

Now it’s time to mentally prepare ourselves and our livers for the pub-crawl this Saturday. See you!

How was your weekend?

I can imagine everybody is sitting in front of the computer, refreshing the wordpress page from INTERNeX and hoping for the new ‘How was your weekend’ blog post. Good news. Here it is. So sit back and enjoy my adventures of this weekend.

It all started Friday after work when I went to Steamworks to eat diner. After the nice guy who was sitting next to me paid my food, I went to Nuba in Yaletown where I met some other candidates. We went to Granville where half of the group wanted to eat something first, the other half including me went to Donnellans as the beginning of the pub-crawl. After the group was complete again, we wanted to go to the next pub. But instead of going to the next pub, we ran into a lady who gave us free tickets for Studio, a club on Granville. That meant the pub-crawl was over and the club night began. After a few hours, we decided to check out Cambiebar. Instead of Cambiebar, we ended up in the Metropole. Not singing a song, because there was no karaoke this night.

The next day it was time to go to the Richmond Night Market. When we arrived, we saw a big line in front of the entrance. But luckily a lady came to us and sold us a $25 dollar ticket to skip the line. Inside we had so many choices for food it was hard to decide what to eat. After our meals we checked out the other non-food area and the fair. We decided to end the day in the Bourbon where we enjoyed our cheap-happy-hour drinks.

Sunday some people wanted to jump at the trampoline park. I doubted to go, but because it was raining and I was very tired, I decided to stay home today and watch a movie instead. It was a very relaxing Sunday.

Hope you all had a good weekend as well and hope to see everybody Wednesday at PuB NiGHT.

What to do on the weekend

Only a few more hours till the weekend! The weather on Saturday isn’t going to be that good, but Sunday should be a little better.

16237737_1615329781815800_1946877102_n

On Sunday the INTERNeX gang will be going to Granville Island. There is a public market with lots of food, so make sure you come with an empty stomach! There are also a lot of cute little shops.

However, if that’s not enough food for you, you can always go to the Surrey Greek Food Festival. This is a community festival whit a lot of Greek food. You can go on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and there is no admission fee.

Another option is going to Commercial Drive on Sunday for Italian Day on the Drive, this street festival celebrates Italy. And while you’re on Commercial Drive you should do a little pub crawl through all the micro breweries that you can find there. At the micro breweries you can get a couple of tasters for a few dollars.

If you would rather do something relaxing but cheap, you can go to the family favourites movies at Cineplex for $2.99. At 11 AM on Saturday they will show A Dogs Purpose at select theatres.

Like every weekend there are a lot of farmers markets. On Friday night there is the Richmond Night Market and the Illumination Summer Night Market. On Saturday you can go to markets in Abbotsford, Burnaby, Fort Langley, Maple Ridge, Trout Lake and Squamish. And on Sunday you can go to Ambleside, Coquitlam, Kitsilano, Ladner, White Rock and Whistler.

I hope you have a great weekend and I’ll see you at PuB NiGHT!

What to do on the weekend?

Thank god it’s Friday! Do you already know what you will do this weekend? If not, we have some fun activities for you.

VANCOUVER

Vancouver Craft Beer Week
From today until the 14th of May is the 2nd Annual Vancouver Craft Beer Week. Featuring larger events, more breweries and special guests from the brewing industry (local and abroad), VCBW consists of a series of signature festival events and independently-organized satellite events at numerous venues around town.

Check out the Events page for ticketing information, the Specials page for walk-up events and the Official Beer page to find out more about this year’s VCBW Collaboration Cascadian Dark Ale

Cinco de Mayo Pub Crawl

If you just can’t get enough of the Cinco de Mayo parties, even the last INTERNeX PuB NiGHT was a Mexican party, then you should join the Pub Crawl. Another good thing is that it is in support of The Ride to Conquer Cancer!

If you’re new to Vancouver, a beer enthusiast, or just looking to have a good time and meet some amazing people then you’ve come to the right party! Celebrating a Mexican Victory, participants will be signing in at the Malones Bar and Grill in downtown Vancouver beside the Granville Skytrain Station. For more information click here.

TORONTO

CN Tower
It’s rated as the best attractions out of 209 in Toronto at www.tripadvisor.com. So if you haven’t been there yet, do it this weekend! It is the world’s tallest tower, and the third tallest building in the world. On a clear day, the view from the top extends as far as Niagara Falls. Also has plexiglass floors in certain areas on the observation deck for an unobstructed view of just how high up you are.

WHISTLER

Dine In Whistler.
Savour spring with a culinary tour of Whistler! From April 25 to June 30, 2011, enjoy 3-course spring menus for $19, $29, $39 and $49. Dine in Whistler offers more than exceptional value at a variety of Whistler restaurants

Valley Trail
