INTERNeX Canada: How was your weekend?

It’s a new week again! I hope everybody of you guys had an amazing weekend with this fantastic weather!

Saturday was a perfect day to go Go-karting outdoors. The INTERNeX people gathered on the Richmond Go-kart track to test our racing skills without any rules or restrictions! Well, there were some… no bumping, no swerving. It was so great to go into curves full speed trying to get ahead of everybody. On top of the fun our tickets included tokens for the arcade – an entire room of gaming machines! Some of us successfully tried the DDR (Dance Dance Revolution), others continued to break speed limits in the racing games.

Check out the pictures of this event on Flickr.

After this day of fun and speed I went out for dinner and drinks with friends. Nice weather and a burger outdoors, Granville Street and drinks in several pubs – this made a perfect evening!

On Sunday, the lovely weather lured us to the Lighthouse Park on Vancouver’s West shore. There are many hiking trails but you also can take it easy and relax on the beach as we did. On a clear day like this Sunday we had a stunning view of Vancouver. I think it’s one of Vancouver’s most beautiful parks, you should definitely take a look at it someday!

How did you enjoy your weekend and this amazing weather? Tell us your story, send us pictures and win prizes!

Thank God It’s Friday!

It is Friday again, which normally means: WEEKEND. However, today it is Good Friday, so probably some of you have a day off today! Easter is also right around the corner – it falls on Sunday April 24. So what are you going to do this Easter Weekend? Here are some tips for the people who have no plans yet!

Who doesn’t want to celebrate Easter with the Easter bunny, Easter egg hunts and all sorts of games? Maybe it is not for everyone, however if you would like to get the real Easter feeling, you should go to Stanley Park and celebrate ‘Easter in the park’. There will be an Easter egg hunt for all ages. Also, they will have a train riding on the park’s famous miniature railway. This event starts today (Friday April 22) and runs until Monday, April 25th. It starts at 11 am till 4 pm. It will probably be quite sunny this Saturday, so it will be a good day to go the park anyway :D. Don’t forget to bring your Easter basket!

We have already post about this last weekend, however the TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival is still running until this weekend. This year the TWSSF will celebrate its sweet sixteen and they will do it in style. It’s a really big event full of snowboarding, skiing, snow, partying and fun! Their main slogan is: ‘‘Party in April, Sleep in May’. Live it, breathe it, believe it. The festival started April 15 and the last day of the festival will be this Sunday the 24th.

For the sporty people under us in Revelstoke, there is the Annual Stoke to Spoke Race. This is a triathlon involving snowboarding or skiing, biking and navigating an obstacle course to the finish line. When reached the finish line they will have to chug a beverage. This annual race has been held to celebrate the transition from winter to spring. You can compete either as individual or in teams of three. Of course there are also prizes to win, for the top three finishers in solo and team categories, along with best costume and best wipeout, and also the oldest and youngest competitors.
The festival starts at 8.30 am and will end around 4 pm. Go and cheer for the participants or just enjoy the live music by Cornstarr.

Hopefully everyone will enjoy their (long) weekend! Let me know what you are going to do this weekend? Or if you have any tips for the other candidates please share them with us by leaving a comment :D.

Have a good weekend everyone and Happy Easter to you all!
