“Lonely. I am so lonely. I have nobody …” dadadadaa. 🎶
Well, I am not that lonely, but still am the only PR-team member left now and I feel as sad as Akon in the song that I just got in your heads. 😉
But let me tell you about my weekend because it was actually not that lonely.
Friday was a great kick-off for the weekend: We finished work earlier but still stayed in the office to enjoy Nadine’s last hours there. We played some games and just chatted for a long time. When we finally managed to call it a day, we went on to BierCraft on Commercial Drive. With a group of around 9 people, we spend Nadine’s last evening in a relaxed, yet fun way. At around 1am we decided to head home. It was sad to say goodbye, but we all knew, that it would just be a goodbye for the moment – we will sure as hell meet again! 😀 – Yeah, Nadine, you signed up for this. ❤
Saturday was just a really calm day for me. I talked to a friend back home in Germany and started to get my stuff sorted and packed. Yeah, soon it’s also time for me to leave – but let’s not get into that right now. So, I did laundry, got my suitcase out of the closet and packed some first things. Basically, stuff that I won’t need for my last time here.
On Sunday, we had our trip to Bowen Island. I was a little concerned because it looked grey and rainy. Nevertheless, 13 of you showed up and boarded the ferry at Horseshoe Bay with me! Thanks for showing up and enjoying this day. Once we arrived in Snug Cove, we had a short restroom break but started quickly after with our tour around the island. After 30-45 Minutes, I already heard some of you asking for a lunch-break, so I was happy when we finally arrived at the picnic spot. Being fed and ready to hike some more, we made our way around Killarney Lake, enjoyed the views and nature.
Shortly after we finished the round trip around the lake we arrived back in Snug Cove and had to wait for the ferry. While waiting, we bought some locally produced ice-cream, which was just tasted amazingly good! Once we arrived back at Horseshoe Bay, we took the bus back home. I arrived at my place around 6.30pm and was dead and done. Even though we didn’t do much, I felt really exhausted. So, I just collapsed in my bed and called it a day.
I hope you had a good weekend, despite the grey weather. See you on Wednesday for PuB NiGHT at Mahony and Sons!
