INTERNeX Canada: What a girl wants

Maybe guys you’ll fin this blog post totally girly, but without doubt it would be good for you to read it! You will know what women want!

1)      We HATE lies!

First of all we need someone we can trust! Nowadays we are strong enough to handle all kind of situations, so please guys, be honest!

2)      Make us laugh!

Everybody loves the positive people, fun and with sense of humor! Be funny but not with dirty humor please!

3)      Be a gentleman!

The little details make the difference. It’s cheap and effortless to open the door, walk our home at night… take our hand. Be polite, being rude is no sexy anymore!

4)      Don’t be or play stupid!

You can be the hottest guy in the world but if we can’t have an intelligent conversation with youit’s kind of impossible for us to fall in love with you! And that’s true, sometimes women we love speak too much and about everythingbut it’s not that hard to have a good time if you are interesting in the other person!

5)      Respect us

Guys, you are lucky to have us (imagine a world without women…) so please be loyal to us! If you are dating somebody, date that person, don’t date any person… if you want to do that just read the first point of this list. Respect includes of course give us our space if we need it! We had a life before you!

6)      Be clean

Nowadays there are even more products for the male beauty that for womenyou are free to worry  for your future wrinkles is OK, but for us is enough if you have a good hygiene! Even if you like careless style, ( I do)we like the clean careless style!

7)      Technology is OK, but we are better

I am sure you have 30089898787867mails, SMS to answer but if you meet someone is to be with that person! And this is in general! Technology is OK but real life is better! Don’t forget! And of course don’t use technology to break up or to lie C mon! How old are you? Do you call yourself a man? Let me say something, a man… a man don’t do that.

8)      Just be our friend not the perfect man that you think we are looking for!

That’s so important! Everybody loves beauty, success, moneybut we are all humans! With lots of positive things but also lots of weakness! But that’s something that we already know, so please don’t play being someone you are not, we don’t love perfect man, we love our fun and imperfect man who first of all was just a good friends and with whom we fall in love as a consequence of knowing that person in his good and bad circumstances!

So thanks to read this long list but the main advice I can give it to you  is basically be yourself and if you love someone the rest of the things will come for themselves in a natural way!

Girls, guys, hope it helps!

Cheers,

Irene

INTERNeX Canada: Casual Friday – Remembrance Day on Sunday

Every year on November 11th, Canada and every other country in the Commonwealth remember the members of their armed forces who fought and died in World War I. It is on this exact date as in 1918 “on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month” all hostilities formally ended after four long years. WWI then officially ended on June 28th 1919 with the Treaty of Versailles in Paris, France.

This is of course not supposed to be a history lesson for you, but rather a hint to think about our ancestors who maybe even suffered or took part in a war themselves. My granddad fought in WWII as a German soldier on the French frontier and I will never forget his vivid stories about the war and my grandma’s narrations on how she gave shelter and food to refugees and at the same time didn’t know if her husband and brothers would ever return. We are blessed to be living in a peaceful part of the world right now and not having to worry about our own and our families’ safety. We see war as a phenomenon on television and get only kind of emotionally close to it when we find old pictures or diaries in the attic. Still, others are right there in this very second and “the war”, wherever it is, is part of their lives – I’m talking about soldiers, journalists and all innocent civilians living in operational zones. They deserve our respect too.

Canadians express their respect by wearing red poppy pins, which I think is a lovely gesture. Are you wearing one too? Either way, stop what you’re doing for a minute and develop your own thoughts on the topic. Take a minute and remember.

Lest we forget.

INTERNeX Canada: News/ Fun facts

Last weekend while we were enjoying in the Rockies, in Vancouver was going on a huge event too! Have you heard about the Vancouver Pride Parade?

It was celebrated in the bohemian West End and travelled along Robson Street to Denman Street.

The most of the gay community locals are in The West End area where there are a lot of shops, pubs or clubs are specially designed for them! For example: 1181 is the perfect pre-party for open mind people or Celebrities which is the largest gay and lesbian nightclub in Vancouver!

It is so cool to walk along Davie Street and find a lot of rainbow flags!

Do you know the meaning of the different colors of the flag? Red if or life, orange for healing, yellow for the sun, green for nature, blue for art, indigo for harmony and violet for spirit. Gilbert Baker designed it in 1918 this flag in San Francisco inspired in different sources like the hippies movement.

Nowadays the Pride Parade is celebrated all around the world and it´s usually a big event. It´s a celebration to remember The Stonewall riots, a series of demonstrations against the police that took place in New York in 1969 and that determine the beginning of the real gay rights!

I feel really proud of living here where the people can be themselves and everybody respects that! Tolerance and respect are one of the most important things for the progress and improvement!

Again, Vancouver rocks!

Happy Sunday!

Cheers,

Irene
