Dinner here, a drink there, … The money in my wallet just keeps disappearing. Yours too? Staying at home and eating boring microwave meals instead? No, Vancouver has too much to offer and that is why I have some awesome deals for you here!
Several websites offer temporary deals for dinner in Vancouver. The Red Flag Deals offers mainly fast food deals for the known chains, such as Pizza Hut, KFC, A&W or Tim Hortons. You might think it is already cheap, but why not saving more when it is that easy?!
Groupon is another website for deals. At the moment, you can buy a voucher for two fatburgers with fries for only $16 instead of $25. Groupon offers even more than food deals, such as discounted tickets. Check out their website and score a good deal!
Now, let’s have a look at the website Socialshopper. Currently, they offer a fancy cup sushi and burritos for two people for only $15. Not only does Socialshoppper offer discounts in the category food, but also in others and some are even valid in other cities than Vancouver.
Last, but not least, there is our well-known pub The Met at 320 Abbott Street, for the most of you known as “the karaoke bar”. The happy hours are daily from 7-10pm and late night when you can get a tall can of beer for $3.69 or wine and shots for only $3.

Soon it’s Thanksgiving and that means turkey time! But no worries, you don’t necessarily have to cook a turkey yourself. No no, we’ll sort it out for you. Join in for a delicious turkey dinner on Monday, October 13th at 7pm. We’ll make sure to find a nice but affordable pub/restaurant where you can fill up your stomach with the nicest turkey… yum yum! All you have to do is to sign up 
Yesterday we had another great pub night. This time we went to The Famous Warehouse. We had to wait a little in front of the entrance before we could get seated but it didn’t really matter… there’s always something happening in the streets of Vancouver, always some entertaining people to watch.
The food at the restaurant was ok and definitely not bad for the price of 4.95$. And the beers weren’t bad either. But one dish wasn’t enough for most of us, so we just ordered another… always curious to try how the next dish was going to taste. Soo, because all of our dishes were added to one receipt, the receipt almost looked like Santa’s long list of gifts to give to the children… or just a very expensive night out. But of course we payed separately. And even though most of us had more than one dish it wasn’t really that expensive.
This was also a pub night to welcome our new Internex pr-intern Sophie. Some of you already know her since she has been staying in Vancouver for about six weeks already. Anyway, hope you’ll also give a great welcome to our next pub night. And of course this pub night was also a little celebration of my (Henrik) birthday.
The Jamie’s Rainforest Inn is located just off the Pacific Highway and a 10-minute walk to the Chesterman Beach, Tofino’s most popular surfing beach. The Inn is surrounded by 4 acres (16 187m2) of beautiful old growth coastal rainforest with access to walking trails and the Jamie’s private waterfront on the inlet side of the Tofino peninsula.
The Inn offers 28 rooms ranging from standard rooms with two queen beds to deluxe rooms. The rooms are equipped with a microwave, fridge and coffee room. Some rooms include fireplaces, sofa beds or kitchenettes. Free Wi-Fi is provide the hotels as well as bike rentals. Most of the rooms have a view over the beautiful rainforest and some views show a glimpse of the private waterfront. There is also a small library on-site. The restaurant serves breakfast (included), lunch and dinner. The restaurant is open from 8am till midnight, lunch is served from 12pm on, tapas from 4pm and dinner is served until midnight, also vegetarian and vegan options are available. So get your food-mode on!
The restaurant was packed when we came and we were seated in the basement, which was really cozy. We had a table which is normally for 14 people, so we had to squeeze together, but still we had enough space to move without hitting each other. The nice thing about sitting so closely is that you do not have to yell over the whole table to talk to someone.
We started the night with ordering some nice drinks such as, Sangrias, Margaritas, Ciders and beers. After our first round of drinks it was time to order our food. The menu offered; burritos, 
tacos, enchiladas, flautas and many more. Mostly you could then choose for beef, chicken or fish. Of course also for our veggies there was an option, the veggie enchiladas. 
We ended our night and some of us headed towards their homes and others to the Cambie for an after drink, which ended up in more after after drinks.
