VANCOUVER

PuB NiGHT – Cinqo de Mayo

There is a reason to party again! The Blarney Stone’s first annual “Cinqo de Mayo” fiesta will take place on Thursday, May 5 in the good old Blarney Stone, Gastown. Shake your Maracas for a Taco Gorging, Beer Guzzling, Tequila Slamming, Pinata Hammering etc. !! There will be a traditional Mexican Mariachi Band “Los Dorados” playing that night, followed by a special guest band & DJ! The building will be BURSTING with tacos, tequila poppers, piñatas, specials on the best mexican brews!! Bring your own sombrero and score some cool prizes! All happening this May 5th at the ONLY party in town guaranteed to leave you screaming ARIBA ARIBA – ANDELE ANDELE!! Get your Mexico on, ARRRRIIBAA!!

INTERNeX can provide you with tickets! Just come by our office or call George (6044402726) on Thursday evening when you are in front of the Pub.
If you would like to watch the Canucks game with us, you can join us around 6pm. If you want to join us later, make sure that you come before 9.30pm to receive free cover and a free shot of Tequila!
After 9.30pm the cover will be $10!

INTERNeX GOES ROCKIES!

INTERNeX organized a 4-day trip to The Rocky Mountains. We will start this unforgettable trip on Friday morning the 20th of May until Monday evening the 23rd of May. So far we are with a group of 25 people! Besides the fact that you will have a great time with other INTERNeX’ers, there’s also a change to meet new people who are joining the trip with West Trek.

The tour includes:
– 3 nights in fabulous hotels
– Transportation in a deluxe coach bus (including movies, interactive games etc…)
– A campfire with hot chocolate and marshmallow roast
– A hockey tournament in the middle of the Rockies
– Daily sightseeing through some of the most incredible and stunning scenery in the world!
– Free entrance to Banff’s best nightclubs
– 3 meals
– All tips and taxes
– All Park fees

Some of the amazing things you will see during the trip: Lake Louise, Banff, Spahat Waterfalls, Several National Parks, Icefields Parkway, Maraine Lake, Peto Lake…. and much, much more!!

PuB PuB PuB NiGHT!!!!

THAT was a PuB NiGHT! Beer, Games, Friends, Fun , laughter and you! It was the last for the summer season, but not the last for the year – there are good things to come in Winter! Thank you all who came to say goodbye and to the new once who just arrived in Vancouver that now know that INTERNeX PuB NiGHT rock!

This crazy night finished with some driving around the city in shopping carts and unfortunately for one a visit to the dentist;). Ruud won the ticket for Whistler offered by West Trek after a long battle with our lovely German candidates Melanie and Mona and finally won a face to face with Nicolas the French competitor. You should come next time and try to get into the Beer Pond fight for a free trip with the awesome guides of West Trek!

Yesterday was full of colors with crazy people like the old man having dance moves the candidates couldn’t keep up with! There were a lot of funny couples on the dance floor, and your roar of laughter could be heard all over the Blarney:)

Oh! And by the way, welcome to our new PR intern Tracy. She was definitely a great little firecracker last night, and had a lot of fun with you guys!

Free Beer and Cocktail Show!

Staying in, or near Toronto? You might want to check out the annual Beer & Cocktail Show in Downsview Park this weekend.

At the Beer & Cocktail show you can sample all kinds of beers from brands such as: Beau’s, Big Rock, Boris, Grolsch, and many more. You can also taste several cocktails with fancy names such as Pomegranate Cosmo, Coco Chanel, Can-Can en Cherry Garden. With a variety of snacks available, the alcohol shouldn’t go to your head too soon, so you can enjoy a lot of samples! To make the show complete there will also be live music and entertainment every day.

Every day the first 100 visitor’s will get free admission! So be sure to get there early. Also, every day a $500 Beer Store gift certificate is given away. All you need to do is fill out a form and be present when they draw the winner.

The show times are:

–          Friday June 4^th 2010:        6.00 pm – 1.00 pm

–          Saturday June 5^th 2010:   6.00 pm – 1.00 am

–          Sunday June 6^th 2010:      4.00 pm – 10.00 pm

There will be a free shuttle bus running every 15 minutes between the show and the Downsview subway station from 10.20 pm to 1.20 pm.  You have to be 19+ to be allowed in and don’t forget to bring your photo ID as it is required at the door.

Next PuB NiGHT June 10!

Thanks to everyone that came out last night to Malone’s Pub and Grill, I hope you had a great time! Haven’t made it out to INTERNeX PuB NiGHT yet? Don’t miss out on the next one happening June 10 at the Blarney Stone! Swing by around 8 p.m. and meet other INTERNeX program participants!

On Thursday night, Dance mob will be spinning the best of Top 40 rock and dance covers! More than just an Irish Pub, the Blarney Stone is Vancouver’s Institution for Irish Food, Entertainment, and Atmosphere.  Voted Best Irish pub in Vancouver again last year, the Blarney Stone offers a unique pub experience by day and rip roaring, feet stomping good times by night.  Conveniently located in the centre of Vancouver’s historic Gastown District, the Blarney Stone is both a local favourite and tourist destination.

This 7,000 square foot venue is pleasantly divided into many different areas and atmospheres.  As a traditional Irish pub, we have seating options from cozy booth snugs and large wing back loungers, to a shared spot at a long table or a seat at any one of our three bars.
