INTERNeX Canada: Smart Saver Vancouver- Where and what to buy in Downtown

Our student´s budget are not that big and I am pretty sure that we all prefer to spend our money enjoying Vancouver that buying in the Supermarket.

That´s why I think is important to know the cheapest places and the correct ones to buy the differents products!

One of the most affordable supermarkets in general in town is No Frills. The price of the same products can be around one dollar less than in other supermarkets, and they have always specials deals every week! There are different locations; you can find one in downtown in Denman Street.

Another good option if you like chocolates, candies and snacks in general (I know what I am talking about…haha) is to buy them in Dollarama or that kind of discount shops! You can buy the same piece of chocolate for less than a dollar and for just 1.25$ you have so many items!

In Shoppers Drug Mart sometimes they have such a good deals! You can buy beauty products of popular brands that originally can cost 50 dollars for just 10…

And in general all the area around Chinatown is where you will find the better prices in Downtown!Like for example in the Sunrise market!

To sum up:

If you are a sweetie person, go to Dolarama, Dolar Store or that kind of shops to buy cheap chocolates bars.

If you are looking for good prices in general, visit the nearest No Frills supermarket!

If you need some nice products for your face, hair and in general beauty staff, keep an eye to Shopper and its special offers for limited time!

If you know where to buy you have the chance to save some money and spend it for example partying with us! It sounds great, isn´t it?

Cheers,

Irene

INTERNeX Canada: Smart Saver Vancouver

One of the things that I find more expensive in Vancouver is all the beauty products such a lotion, gel, shampoo, conditioner… So the other day I got mad when I saw in Shoppers Drug Mart such a good deal! Just for 10 dollars you got awhole beauty pack worth in more than 45 dollars! It includes body milk, deodorant, lip cream, toothbrush, tooth paste, conditioner…

There are different pack special designed for woman, adolescent or men! But for 10 dollars is even good to buy the three of them even if you are not a woman, or a men or an adolescent anymore!

You can get them in Shoppers Drug Market! There are a lot in Vancouver! Just check the closest for you!

But go quickly I am sure they will run out of in short time!

Cheers,

Irene

This weekend was the official start of the 100th anniversary of the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE). The PNE is an annual event that shows the best that BC has to offer! The PNE takes place next to Vancouver’s Playland and will last until September 6th.

There is a live concert every day as well as lots of exhibits. The entrance fee is $20.00, but if you buy a ticket at Safeway, Shoppers Drug markt or Save on Foods you pay only $16.80! But for the people who don’t mind an early Sunday, the Fair is FREE on Sunday’s from 9.00 – 12.00 am.

In 1910 the then Canadian Prime minister, Sir Wilfrid Laurier, officially opened the first PNE although back then it was called the Industrial Exhibition. Since the first Fair, the annual event has become the largest annual ticketed event in the province, and continues to draw in excess of 900,00 visitors per year.

With over 800 performances and exhibits and more than 50 thrilling rides & attractions, the Fair at the PNE is definitely worth checking out! For more information about the concerts, exhibits or the PNE in general, click here
