What to do on the weekend?

It is Good Friday today, which means that you already started or are about to start your long Easter weekend. INTERNeX is going to spend their long weekend in the Rockies. If you decided to spend Easter in Vancouver and do not have any plans yet, you may find some inspiration in this blog.

If you really want to experience Easter in Vancouver then you should go to one of the many egg hunts in the city. Many of them are even combined with extra activities such as the Egg hunting and Easter train in Stanley Park. When cars are more your thing, then go to the Easter Vintage Car Rally on Sunday. Over 90 vintage cars will gather at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, so a great event for a car fan. If you are more excited to go on rides, then the egg hunt and fun fair at Tsawwassen Mills mall is perfect for you!

However, there are also enough activities that are not Easter-related this weekend. You can try to find the lights of Spring Lights Illumination at Queen Elizabeth Park on Saturday. It is a free event that is part from the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival and starts from dusk. The event is weather dependent, which is also the reason why they moved it to this weekend. So do not forget to check their website before going to the event.

However, there are also other activities during this festival such as free concerts and the Fire & Ice show. The weather forecast of Sunday is good so far, so it might be nice to get outside for a hike or to rent a bike.

I hope you all have a great Easter weekend! See you on next PuB NiGHT!

Spring Lights Illumination – Experience IT Review

On Saturday night we went to the Queen Elizabeth Park for the Spring Lights Illumination and although that didn’t quite turn out the way we thought it would, we still had a great night with you guys!

IMG_1980Luckily this time there was no snow coming down on us, so we actually got to enjoy the view. We met up at the conservatory where we all got some pretty pictures while it was still light outside. Then we went to the statue where we took our group picture as it was slowly starting to get darker. As we walked back to the conservatory we found more people that belonged to our group and we decided to walk around the park in the dark. Since they decided to cancel the Spring Lights Illumination last minute we could hardly see anything, but we did get a good laugh out of it.

After walking around for a bit we decided it might be a better idea to go to downtown to get a drink. Some of us decided to go home, the rest ended up at The Cambie and had a few drinks together to celebrate the weekend!

I hope to see you all at PuB NiGHT!

What to do on the weekend?

It’s finally Friday again! Time to do some amazing things in Vancouver this weekend!

17389183_10155108361507103_2218754490592107005_o.jpgThis weekend the INTERNeX family will go The Spring Lights Illumination in the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park. We will enjoy the amazing lights, music, cherry blossoms and the multisensory show in the park. This event is part of a bigger festival called the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival. There are several events in the VanDusen Botanical Garden, 6 walks through some of Vancouvers’ spring gardens and lots more.

Tomorrow is April Fool’s Day and International Pillow Fight Day, which means lots of fun!! Don’t forget to fool your friends and also do not always trust them because you can fall for one of their tricks too. International Pillow Fight Day is also celebrated in Vancouver. There will be a massive 15 minutes pillow fight outside the Vancouver Art Gallery by the corner of Robson Street and Howe at 3 PM. It will be amazing to participate or to just watch this craziness.

17690980_10208612464010029_949684745_n.jpgThis week was also the beginning of the Vancouver International Auto Show and you can still go there this weekend to see dozens of the latest cars on display. The show is from 10 AM until 10 PM at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Sunday is supposed to be really sunny, so go out and explore the highlights of Vancouver as well! It will be the perfect day to do some hikes, sightseeing or visiting the outdoor farmers markets! I hope you all have a great weekend and see you tomorrow at the Queen Elizabeth Park or next week on PuB NiGHT!!
