INTERNeX Canada: Picture of the week!

This picture of the week was taken at our Pub and Club night at the Pint on Friday! It was a huge party with so many people who gathered that night. It was a special event since it was Maike, Jildau, and Tam Ara’s going away party and of course it was a hockey game night in Vancouver! We also had a guest from Westtrek who gave us a one day ticket to either Whistler or Seattle, so we decided to do a draw. And the winner was Queenie! Later during the night, the DJ came on and we all went up to the dance floor. Everyone showed off their dancing moves, and I got to say, some were so hilarious! Overall, the night was a huge success 🙂

Picture of the week!

This week’s picture of the week is from the INTERNeX Networking Event that took place on the 1st of June due to the big NAFSA conference here in Vancouver. The event was a great success and we hope that everyone enjoyed it as much as we did. Again, thank you all for coming to our INTERNeX Reception!
However there are also some other people that deserve a thank you! A few of the INTERNeX candidates helped us out with volunteering for the INTERNeX Networking Reception and we would really like to thank these candidates again, so thank you: Regula, Matthijs, Kathryn, Matt, Arne, Timo and Oscar!!

I picked this photo to be the picture of the week because we are really thankful for all the help we got from our volunteers! Thanks for helping us make the night as it was; perfect!

INTERNeX CLuB NiGHT Review!

I must say, my first PuB NiGHT (or in this case CLuB NiGHT) was a great success! The night started at 8.30pm and we gathered in the lounge of the Caprice.  There were some good deals, like a Canadian (beer) was only 3 dollars.  After a couple drinks in de lounge, the PR-team had a surprise for the candidates! We arranged free entrance to the night club of Caprice and NO line up! We could pass all the people that were standing in line for ages. We were with a group of 20 people, all from different countries and all with a different purpose here in Canada. Some of them were new like me, and others were here for a while already.
In the lounge everyone was chatting about their experiences here in Canada or just chatting about other things. Once we got in the club everyone started to dance and we were having an amazing time. We even had tequila shots with everyone! I hope every PuB NiGHT will be like this :). Thanks for making my first one such a great success!

Blenz Coffee Tradeshow 03-30-2010

On Tuesday, March 30th, I had the honor of accompanying one of the placement managers at INTERNeX to a Blenz Coffee Tradeshow at Hyatt Regency Hotel in Downtown Vancouver. It was definitely an eye opener and an amazing experience. As one of the suppliers for Blenz Coffee, it was important for us to prepare informative materials to these franchise owners such as preparing and designing brochures, contacting sponsors for prizes and creating slide show presentations. Definitely, a lot of prep work involved prior to the event, but it was so worth it.

Not only did I meet Blenz Coffee franchise owners, I witnessed a Blenz Coffee Iron Barista Competition and networked with a lot of other suppliers there. I also met a few Blenz Coffee employees that night. Near the end of the event, prizes were given out to franchise owners. INTERNeX submitted three prizes to this draw:

This is the first tradeshow event I’ve ever been to and I must say, I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the environment.

I really enjoyed being able to tell the franchise owners about what INTERNeX is and how they can benefit from the use of our service. I had a great time meeting such fabulous people and can’t wait to go, “Hi, remember me!” the next time I walk into their coffee shop.

The event was a huge success with complimentary cocktails and appetizers. Oh, the perks of being an PR intern.

New INTERNeX PuB NiGHT Location

Hello, so last PuB NiGHT was another success…Thank you! I had a lot of fun with everybody and ended up staying till pretty late even though i had to get up super early the next morning! Didn’t feel so great lol. But anyways well worth it! So as mentioned many times before we will be changing up our PuB NiGHT location every three weeks and that time has come. We will be saying a temporary farewell to Malone’s and moving over to The Cambie located on the corner of Cambie & Cordova. One of Vancouver’s oldest hostels yet also one of the most popular gathering spots for students and backpackers. The Cambie offers some of the cheapest beer, ranging from $3.75-4.75, and the cheapest pints in town, with jugs only costing $10.00. This place was actually rated the #1 pub for 6 consecutive years and the best casual hang out in 2001 by Vancouver’s top entertainment magazine, The Georgia Straight!
