INTERNeX Canada: PuB&CLuB Night Review

Hello guys! How was your long weekend? Well, I wish. In INTERNeX, we gave the welcome to the holidays as it deserves… with a Club Night! We went to The Relish and we had a great night dancing and talking. We could get some good deals… beer only for 3$!

We met here at 8:00. At the beginning of the night, the mood was very calm, only was a few people… but later, the pub started to be crowded. All of us left our seats and we started to dance. We were the kings of the dance floor, I guess. We were vey surprised because the style of dance is completely different compared with the European style. But this is other story and maybe we have to write a large post about it. I only can advance that… the people here love the Rap music so so much!

It was our first club night for us and we were a little scared about if the people would come or not… but finally a lot of people came, and we spent a wonderful night! THANKS SO MUCH GUYS! You can check the pictures in our Flickr! If you missed our Club Night… don’t worry! Stay tuned; we are going to publish info about the next pub night very soon!

Kisses,

Clara.

INTERNeX Canada: Goodbye Vancouver

The fun is over. Unfortunately, I have to say goodbye to Vancouver and to you this week. After a year in Canada it’s time for me to return home and get back to university. I had a great time here at INTERNeX, in Vancouver and Canada, it was the time of my life!

In the last months I worked for the INTERNeX PR-Team and had so much fun welcoming new candidates from so many different countries and organizing events for them. We did so many amazing trips and activities that I can’t decide which one was best! The Rocky Mountains were great great great! Our Whistler trip was really exciting as I dared to bungee jump! Big Thanks to my PR-team colleagues and INTERNeX staff for making work fun, always helping out and giving me new professional experiences.

The summer in Vancouver went by so fast; there were so many things to do in this awesome city although my favorite was definitely relaxing on the beach! It felt like I’m on a summer vocation and I will miss having a beach around the corner. In my year in Canada I saw so many wonderful places on both the West and the East Coast and met so many great people.

It was a pleasure to enjoy this country! Thank you INTERNeX family for making my time here the best I ever had, thank you Canadians, thank you other travelers. Thanks to Vancouver and Toronto for being my homes during the last year. I am excited to be back in Berlin, see family and friends, and definitely meet up with former European INTERNeX folks who I got to know and to love here in Van City!

Hope to see you all very soon somewhere in the world!

Cheers,

Xenia

So long and thanks for all the memories.

Time has come to say goodbye,

It is almost 8 month ago that I arrived here in the office. Not knowing anyone and being overwhelmed with all the tasks the PR Intern had to do. Now I have done so much and did even more then expected. I have grown and learn so much about Canada,  INTERNeX and myself.

Life here in Vancouver has given me a lot of memories. Organizing a trip to Seattle, starting as house manager of the Staffhouse, living in the Staffhouse, going to PuB NiGHTs, movie/pizza Tuesdays, going to Rocky Mountains, camping at Vargas Island, wakeboarding, bungee jumping in Whistler and many many more.

Thank you all for making my time here amazing.

Hope to see you sometime in the Netherlands.

Cheers,

Petra

P.s. Special Thanks to the PR Team(s) Lydia, Hannes, Lies, Kristina, Maria, Xenia, Katie, Simon and INTERNeX

INTERNeX NAFSA Reception (Class of 2011) – Thank you all for coming!

Yesterday the International Networking Event from INTERNeX took place at the Blarney Stone in Vancouver, Canada. It started at 8 pm and we stayed until late. Some of the guests were there earlier to watch the Vancouver Canucks vs Boston playing in first game of the Stanley Cup Finals. Because of the game there was already a great atmosphere before the event even started.

We had volunteers greeting our guests at the entrance and if you preregistered, you got a badge with your own name and personal QR-code. After that you were ready to go to our Photobooth, here we took photos for the INTERNeX Class of 2011 Yearbook, which will be online soon!

We had an Irish band, a great DJ, a host and showmaster to entertain everybody the whole evening. We also organized a Schoolbus to bring people from several place to our event. After all we had a great evening and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! Thank you all for coming!

Photos will be published soon at the INTERNeX Flickr Page.

Regards,

The INTERNeX Team
