What a fun night!
Since this was my first PuB-Night ever, I am so impressed by the amount of people I met last night! Thank you for being so nice and welcoming!
The beaver, located on Granville Street, is definitely a place worth checking out! Even tho we were such a big group the stuff didn’t get tired to run up and down the stairs constantly. The Pub itself is a really nice place, just making you feel the canadian spirit. A personal recommendation are the nachos! So good. Thanks again for getting me amped on them ;-).
Later we went on to playing some music bingo, apparently that’s the thing to do, when you visit the beaver on a Wednesday night. And I have to admit, this wasn’t the last time of me playing bingo in here. Some of us were even lucky enough to win and got into the joy of having some shots or even a pitcher for free! I think we can agree in having a pretty good night out this week!
After the long Thanksgiving weekend everybody was so happy to be around each other again. And besides me, there were some new faces to be welcomed in the group. Therefore a special welcome to you guys and thanks for coming!
But don’t worry the next Canadian highlight is already set. Since Halloween is such a big thing here, we should het the chance to get into some crazy costumes for our upcoming Halloween Party! Therefore, and because I am personally very excited to get to know you guys a little bit better, we’ll see each other on the weekend and go do some costume shopping together!
And I am promising you, the Halloween-vibe around here is just on another level!

PuB NiGHT at the Beaver Bar meant it was time for Bingo again! Dauber in hand, everyone was ready to play at 9pm sharp. First round: normal Bingo. Fun, but of course less exciting than singing along to songs. A few rounds of normal Bingo and non-existing wins later, it was time for music Bingo. We sang along to many great throwback songs, including Beyoncé’s Halo, Paramore’s crushcrushcrush and The Jackson 5’s I Want You Back. During this round we had more luck. Felix had Bingo and won a pitcher of beer! Congrats Felix!
Yesterday we had our great weekly pub night. This time we visited The Beaver on Granville Street. We got a small table but it wasn’t a problem to fit all of us people into this small space 🙂 Most of us tried out some of the nice food. The beers weren’t bad either and all of the locally brewed bottled beers were served for quite reasonable prices… only $5.50. A lot of people were fitted into this little pub, and of course they were all ready for the bingo evening. The Beaver is situated at the ground level of the SameSun Hostel, so there are always a lot of different activities going on at this pub. Of course we were also up for playing bingo. Aaaand this time we were much luckier than last time we played. Yep, that’s right we did actually win something. We won a good deal of beer but it would have been nice to win one more time, since it took a very good deal of beer to share between all of us.
Thanks for a very good evening. It was great to see so many of you defying to let the cold weather make you stay at home. But for sure the temperature inside the pub wasn’t bad either 🙂 And looking forward to see those of you guys who are going on the Portland trip… It’ll be awesome!
