PuB NiGHT Review: The Railway Stage & Beer Cafe

From drinking some nice beers to singing karaoke until the late a.m.: that basically sums up our great PuB NiGHT yesterday!

It all started when Kerstin and I went for some nice and cheap dinner at The Warehouse. When we were done with our food and drinks, we decided to head to The Railway so the PuB NiGHT could start.

Once we arrived at the pub it was already really crowded with people from club ESL since they have their own PuB NiGHT there every Wednesday. So when we finally found our table we ordered some drinks and we were really happy to see a lot of you showing up at the pub.

After a while we decided to continue our night at The Metropole for of course some karaoke. Bart had again some surprise songs like “Baby” from Justin Bieber and “All Star” from Smash Mouth. Also songs like “My Heart Will Go On” and “Every Breath You Take” were sang by our INTERNeX gang.

We all hope you had a great night and we are looking forward to see all of you this Friday at the INTERNeX office for our Game Night!

PuB NiGHT Review: Portside Pub

Thank you all for joining us last night for the PuB NiGHT at the Portside Pub!!

The Portside Pub is located in Gastown and the management is mostly from the East Coast of Canada. Because of this they have an East Coast cuisine and a lot of different kind of beers, from local drafts to imported drafts and cider.

22879114_1747054875335984_1701622799_oThe pub looked really cool because it looks like you are inside of a ship. We were lucky yesterday because there was live music all night. We had some nice beers and cocktails and unfortunately it was the last PuB NiGHT for Billy and Lucas.

And to follow the INTERNeX tradition we ended up in The Met to sing some amazing songs and to celebrate the last PuB NiGHT for some of us in a good and fun way. Bart sang the song “Ding Ding Dong” and also the songs “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Please Don’t Stop The Music” were played.

We had so much fun and we are looking forward to see everybody on Saturday for the amazing Whistler trip!

PuB NiGHT Review: The Lamp Lighter

“BOURBON BINGO!” We only had the chance to yell that once. Lucky Saskia won a free pitcher of beer. Despite of not winning other prices, we had so much fun doing the bingo.

The Lamp Lighter is a nice big pub in the heart of Gastown. Every Wednesday they organise a free bourbon bingo where you can win a lot of prizes, like beers, shots and gift cards. They play a lot of nice music and you can request songs at the DJ as well.

We were happy to see a lot of people showing up and all our reserved tables were filled. We continued the night at the karaoke bar, where we sang great surprise songs like Scatman. Thank you for that, I will remember it. See you this Sunday at the Halloween parade at Granville Street.

Review: PuB NiGHT at The Lamplighter

Yesterday’s PuB NiGHT was at the Lamplighter. It was great to see you all there, thank you all for coming!

The Lamplighter is part of the Donnelly Group. The pub organizes several events such as Pub trivia on Tuesdays and Bourbon Bingo on Wednesdays. It offers quite some beers and ciders. Besides that they also have a good selection of cocktails, with one on special every week.

Yesterday was Tess and Danielle’s last PuB NiGHT and we made sure that it was a good one. We started off with Bourbon bingo as it is one of our favourite things to do in Vancouver. As we were with a really big group and we had luck at our side, we won a lot of the rounds. Eventually it looked like it was us against the rest of the pub. In total we won 6 times, with one person winning 20 bourbon shots. After that we decided to go to The Met for some karaoke, because there is no last PuB NiGHT without karaoke! We sang our favourite song “We are all in this together” from High School Musical with the whole group. There were also people who were a bit more brave and sang some songs with just a few other people.

It was great that you all came to say goodbye to Tess and Danielle! See you in the Rockies or next week’s PuB NiGHT!

Review: PuB NiGHT at Mahony and Sons

Yesterday’s PuB NiGHT was at Mahony and Sons at Canada Place. It was great to see you all there! Thank you all for coming!

Mahony and Sons is a pub which gives you a bit of an Irish feeling, as they use a lot of wood in all of their pubs. You also have the possibility to sit outside, as they have terraces at all 3 locations, which is great on a sunny day. The pub is one of our favourites in Vancouver, because they have a pretty good deal on Wednesdays, namely Wine Wednesday. This means that all the wine bottles are 50% off. Mahony and Sons also offers great food, so it is definitely worth checking out.

This time we were placed on a long table next to the window, which would normally be a great spot for a nice view of the mountains. We started off talking about your plans in the weekend and about your week so far. After a while we also started to talk about the gifts we bought for family and friends. As it was Blanca’s last night, the books showed up and she had to write a few messages in them. To finish her last night well, some of you went to the Met for karaoke.

It was great to catch up with all of you again! I hope to see you on Sunday at the Vancouver Pride Parade!
