Review: PuB NiGHT at the Pint

PuB NiGHT was great again! Thank you all for coming to the Pint.

The Pint is a pub in downtown. Every Wednesday it has Wings Wednesday, which means that their wings are only $4. There are also lots of TV screens to watch sports like hockey and basketball.

18448016_1565436526813604_584222969_n.jpgThe night started of great with watching the Stanley Cup play offs on the TV screens in the pub. Edmonton Oilers unfortunately lost, but we still had fun watching the game. There was a great atmosphere in the pub because of everyone watching it. For some of the INTERNeX family it was their last PuB NiGHT, which was really sad. We wrote on Andreas’ flag and made a great group picture to remember the night!

After an amazing night at the Pint we decided to go to Andreas’ favourite place in town, the Met, to do karaoke! We did some great songs together like, ‘We’re all in this together’ from High School Musical and ‘Wannabe’ from the Spice Girls. It was great to sing with such a big group and a great ending of the night!

I had an amazing night and I hope you all did too!

INTERNeX Explorer Ep4 – 2017 behind the scenes

The fourth episode is already online for a week again, so we wanted to give you a little peak behind the scenes. It gets easier and easier every time. Since I now know how to make the scripts, do the filming, the voice-overs and editing.

April was the month of the big Rockies trip. Since we always make after movies of the trips we do, I also needed to develop a video of the Rockies. This was a rough part for me to do, because there was so much material and we had so many great moments there. It makes it hard to choose what material you want to feature in the episode. So once I was done there was a video of about 3 minutes, which is way too long. With a little pain in my heart I started deleting and cutting scenes. I hope it still captures the experience we had in the Rockies and you like it.

Another challenge was that Danielle was not here for filming since her family was visiting her, which is amazing of course! When I was writing the scripts I didn’t realise this though, so I just made a script for her. When I found out she wasn’t here we had to change fast, which meant I was suddenly in front of the camera. So in this episode you may see my face quite a lot.

On the other hand I had so much fun making this video again. Especially wheninternexexplorerapril I had to go on a little fieldtrip in North Vancouver with Iris. After taking the sea bus we first decided to have some ice cream, because you can’t film on an empty stomach. Besides that it was such a beautiful day, which made filming and walking around not a problem at all. We took a little advantage of it and had some lunch outside in the sun. It probably was the best “office-day” of the entire month, especially because when we got back Danielle’s boyfriend arrived and we went to the Lamplighter with all the colleagues to celebrate.

If you haven’ t seen the episode yet, you can see the video below.

Hope to see you all in The Pint tomorrow!

Review: PuB NiGHT at the Pint

It was an amazing PuB NiGHT yesterday at the Pint! Thanks to all of you for coming. I had an amazing night with all the old and new friends in the INTERNeX family!17373098_10202835704209425_1063236626_o.jpg

The Pint is a pub in Downtown. Every Wednesday it has Wings Wednesday, which means that their wings in 40 different ways are only $4.50. There are also a lot of TV screens to watch sports like hockey and basketball. They have an extra downstairs area with a pool table for busy nights.

The night started off great with a lot of people. Kristina brought her Canadian flag for us to write on, as she is already leaving us in two weeks ☹! While writing on her flag, we were all chatting with each other and having lots of fun. As there were some new candidates joining the PuB NiGHT we had a good laugh about all the parties we have already had in our time here. Which was really fun because we were all remembering great and funny things that happened in those nights.

After an amazing night at the Pint with everyone, the last people that were still at the pub decided to do some karaoke at the Met. We sang a lot of different songs together, which was a great ending of the night.

I had a great night and I hope you all did too!

Chinese New Year – Experience IT Review

It has been a great weekend once again. This time we were celebrating Chinese New Year with the Chinese New Year parade. Even though it was raining, it was a bigger number than expected. Thank you all for coming and celebrating Chinese New Year with us!

At the beginning we did not really know which spot to conquer, so we just wandered around till we found the right spot for the INTERNeX family. We ended up just in front of the seating of the prime minister of Canada and even got the chance to see him. We were even thinking about asking him to take a picture with us. During the parade, people tried to approach the prime minister and got tackled because of it. Therefore, we 16442767_10202664074518790_1652384470_odecided to take the safe way and not to approach him. Chinese New Year was amazing. It started off with some fireworks and soon after we saw dragons, lions and chickens. Red and gold stand for luck in China and therefore we got lots of red envelopes and golden coins. I hope it will bring all of us good luck during our INTERNeX stay and of course lots of fun.

After a while, everybody was feeling cold and we decided to get into the parking lot to watch the parade from above. A dry, but windy spot was found. As it was a bit too windy, we did not stay at our spot for that long. So what would be the best thing to do when you are cold? Getting a hot drink in the Pint of course! We combined the hot drinks with a brunch, as we got quite hungry as well.

Even though It was raining during the Chinese New Year parade, we had a lot of fun together. Hope to see you all at Blarney Stone on Wednesday! Get ready, because there will be a lot of people joining us.

Review: PuB NiGHT @ The Pint

Yesterday’s PuB NiGHT was great! Thank you all for coming! Most of us were still recovering from New Years Eve and going back to work again, but it was lots of fun.

The Pint is a pub in Downtown. Every Wednesday it has Wings Wednesday, which means fullsizeoutput_19c4that their wings in 40 different ways are only $4.50. There are also a lot of TV screens to watch sports and a downstairs area with a pool table.

In the beginning of some of us watched the Canucks game on the screens in the pub and others were playing some pool. It was fun to talk about the amazing New Years Eve we had and hear all the stories. The night ended earlier than other nights because of the fact that most of us were still tired from New Years.

I had a great evening and I hope you all did too! See you next week!!
