PuB NiGHT Review: The Relish

“Beer for $3!” – That was just one of the incentives for you to come to our PuB NiGHT yesterday at The Relish. Other motives to show up were meeting old and new faces, talking about past and present stories and of course our upcoming events, one of them being the Rockies Trip in the beginning of August (don’t forget to sign up 😉).37347243_1810162252410130_169073642464870400_n

The four of us were at The Relish quite early, so we saved a nice table outside. Betting on who will be the first person to show up, none of us had one of the “newcomers” in mind. But it was even better that Oliwer showed up first, this way we had the chance to get to talk to him and get to know him better.

So, we had the chance to welcome a new face in our round: Oliwer. He showed us his artistic talent and even decorated Nadine’s hand with an interesting drawing. Unfortunately, it was also time to say goodbye: Gus spent his last PuB NiGHT with us yesterday.

As usual the hours passed by very fast. We had a discussion on how to pronounce “scone” correctly: Does it rhyme with cone or gone? Well, there does not seem to be a real answer to that question, even in the UK the public opinion is polarized. Apparently, none of the two pronunciations are wrong or right.

After we finished our last glasses of beer and the waitress brought the bill, some of us decided to pay a visit to the Met, while the other half made their way home. Some songs and beers later, even the last ones decided to take the bus/train home and a fun evening came to an end.

I hope you had a nice evening as well and I am looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday for our trip to Deep Cove!

PuB NiGHT Review: The Relish Pub

Another PuB NiGHT, in another pub, but with familiar faces. Yesterday, the INTERNeX candidates and the PR-team had a seat in the Relish Pub. For the first time since January, this pub was the place to be on a Wednesday evening.

And being in this pub was not the only first-timer of the night. It was the first PuB NiGHT for our new PR-team member Elisabeth, too. As well as for several candidates, who have only been here for a few weeks or even days so far. We were sitting at 3 different tables, because we were with so many people! This is also why I decided to switch my spot every now and then. It’s nice to talk to all of you and I enjoy listening to your stories about your life here in Vancouver.

But as sad as it is, there were also people that joined our PuB NiGHT for their last time. Linus and Lore are leaving Vancouver soon. Their time here with INTERNeX has come to an end, unfortunately. So, we had one, two or three (maybe even more) last beers together. We even signed a Canada flag with our names and personal messages that serves as a memory. We’ll miss you guys! Have a safe trip, I’m sure we’ll see each other again somewhere in this world!

I hope you all enjoyed the PuB NiGHT as well!

PuB NiGHT Review: The Relish Pub

Thank you everybody for joining us last night at The Relish Pub for our first PuB NiGHT of the year. It was so good to see that everybody survived the holidays and there were even some new faces!

At the Relish Pub we had some drinks and enjoyed some nice food. Some people enjoyed the daily drink specials like Stanley Park Amber beer and the whiskey deals. After we had some drinks and food we decided to take the bus to The Met to of course close our night with some karaoke.

26610713_1838158142892323_212067677_oSongs like “Hotel California”, “Angels” and “Summer nights” were sang. After some songs and more drinks we decided to call it a night.

Again thanks for joining and we hope to see you all on Saturday for the Lord of The Rings Trilogy event!

INTERNeX Canada: PuB&CLuB Night Review

Hello guys! How was your long weekend? Well, I wish. In INTERNeX, we gave the welcome to the holidays as it deserves… with a Club Night! We went to The Relish and we had a great night dancing and talking. We could get some good deals… beer only for 3$!

We met here at 8:00. At the beginning of the night, the mood was very calm, only was a few people… but later, the pub started to be crowded. All of us left our seats and we started to dance. We were the kings of the dance floor, I guess. We were vey surprised because the style of dance is completely different compared with the European style. But this is other story and maybe we have to write a large post about it. I only can advance that… the people here love the Rap music so so much!

It was our first club night for us and we were a little scared about if the people would come or not… but finally a lot of people came, and we spent a wonderful night! THANKS SO MUCH GUYS! You can check the pictures in our Flickr! If you missed our Club Night… don’t worry! Stay tuned; we are going to publish info about the next pub night very soon!

Kisses,

Clara.
