PuB NiGHT Review: The Lamplighter

Thank you all for joining us last PuB NiGHT at the Lamplighter!

Our night started off at The Warehouse where we had some dinner first and some drinks of course. After we were done with our amazing dinner and drinks we went to the Lamplighter for some Bourbon Bingo.

The INTERNeX family was really lucky since 3 people of our group won something out of 5 rounds of Bingo. When we finished our free drinks we went to the Met for some karaoke as usual.

We sang songs like Bad Day, The Banana Song and All I Want For Christmas Is You.

We had a really fun night and I hope you did as well!

We are looking forward to see you Saturday for the Santa Claus Parade and The Christmas Market.

Smart Saver Vancouver

Today we are going to talk about how you can save money on something that everybody needs…..Groceries!

One of my favourite stores to go to is called Dollar Tree. This fun company has a lot of different stores in Vancouver. Everything in the store is $1.40 or less!! I always buy things like laundry cleaners, toothpaste, deodorant and shampoo there, because it is way cheaper than in most drugstores.

Besides Dollar Tree there is also a kind of similar store called Dollarama which also offers a lot of different stuff only the difference between Dollar Tree and Dollarama is that at the last one there are also things that are above $1.40.

When it comes to food, No Frills is a good option to get some cheap groceries, especially if you take a look at their own brand called “No Name” which are the cheapest products they sell.

But if you don’t feel like cooking then The Warehouse is a really good and cheap place to get some food and drinks, since all meals are $4.95. Also Commercial Sushi at Commercial Broadway is a very good option. At Commercial Sushi they have a Sushi Special, this includes a Miso soup and 3 different sushi rolls you can choose of the selection they made.

INTERNeX Canada: What to do on the weekend

Another crazy QuiZ Night is over and we plan the weekend again. After our night out at the Warehouse and much laughter due to our quiz, multiple choice, and grinding half naked waiters (!), we’re now looking forward to a relaxed beginning of the month of Halloween.

For everyone not used to this holiday, we planned a trip to the Stanley Park’s Ghost Train. It is a famous Halloween attraction and originally designed for kids. However, as a nice and fun introduction to the horror month, it’s exactly right to get in the mood for spook.

And then of course, it is the Thanksgiving weekend! On Monday we are having our Thanksgiving dinner at the Irish Heather and are looking forward to a traditional dish of North American turkey dinner. If you haven’t registered yet on Facebook, you might want to do it now, because the deadline is tonight. Well, hope to see you around…
