Hi everyone! New week, new opportunities and a new pub night!
This Thursday at 7 pm. we are going to one of our favourites – The Blarney Stone! For those who haven’t been there, this Irish Pub has been voted the Best Irish Pub in Vancouver for multiple years. It is a lovely place that offers food and drinks at reasonable prices. On Thursdays you can get any pizza for $7 and martinis for $6. Go ahead and take a look at their menu for other temptations!
The Blarney Stone have been going strong since 1972, making it the longest running Irish Pub in the City of Vancouver. On Thursday they have live music playing for those of you who want to stay late.
The pub is located in the heart of Gastown, on 216 Carrall Street, a ten minutes walk from Stadium-Chinatown and Waterfront Station.
This will be my (Julie) last pub night, so I am hoping that as many of you will show up!

As you might have guessed by the name, Yaletown Brewing Company offers a variety of quality beer. The pub prides itself by being one of Vancouver’s original and best Brewpub. All of their beer cost $6.50 and that includes their 5 Rings IPA that was voted the best Indian Pale Ale at the2012 Beer Awards. Sounds exiting, right? And don’t worry; they serve plenty of food as well! To go with your beer a wood oven pizza is not a bad choice. Take a look at their menu 
Finally hockey is back! But you all know how expensive can be to buy the cheapest ticket! But now you can actually see the Vancouver Canucks for FREE! Ok well is not a real game but watching them while they are training is kind of cool as well!
There is a reason to party again! The Blarney Stone’s first annual “Cinqo de Mayo” fiesta will take place on Thursday, May 5 in the good old Blarney Stone, Gastown. Shake your Maracas for a Taco Gorging, Beer Guzzling, Tequila Slamming, Pinata Hammering etc. !! There will be a traditional Mexican Mariachi Band “Los Dorados” playing that night, followed by a special guest band & DJ! The building will be BURSTING with tacos, tequila poppers, piñatas, specials on the best mexican brews!! Bring your own sombrero and score some cool prizes! All happening this May 5th at the ONLY party in town guaranteed to leave you screaming ARIBA ARIBA – ANDELE ANDELE!! Get your Mexico on, ARRRRIIBAA!!
INTERNeX organized a 4-day trip to The Rocky Mountains. We will start this unforgettable trip on Friday morning the 20th of May until Monday evening the 23rd of May. So far we are with a group of 25 people! Besides the fact that you will have a great time with other INTERNeX’ers, there’s also a change to meet new people who are joining the trip with West Trek.
