Café Crêpe

I think I’m in love. With crêpes. This weekend, I went for another stroll down Robson Street, however I didn’t get very far. The sweet, sweet aroma of chocolate drizzle, strawberry and nutella made me stop dead in my tracks. Could it be? Love at first bite…

I had always seen the red lights that hovered above this little restaurant on Robson street, but had never stopped to order anything. Usually I eat lunch before heading out for some shopping, but on Saturday all I could think about was food! As soon as the smell of melting chocolate and fresh cut strawberries reached my nostrils, I was running towards the express window at Café Crêpe.

Importing the tradition of the classic European café to North America, Café Crêpe specializes in Parisian sweet & savoury crêpes. There are so many different types of crêpes to try at this hub, it can drive a hungry person mad! In addition to crêpes, they also specialize in french baguette sandwiches, and grilled Italian panini.  As an international café, Café Crêpe also offers world classics like half-pound certified Angus burgers, pommes frites (french fries),thin crust pizza, and a full traditional breakfast menu that includes Eggs Benedict and an exciting variety of omelettes, among other specialties. In addition to serving exceptional Italian roasted coffee, Café Crêpe is fully licensed, offering a vast selection of alcoholic beverages and cocktails, along with select beers and wines.

Everyone NEEDS to try something from this restaurant. Although a little pricey (depending on what you order), you will not be let down! I still dream about this crêpe.

Enjoy your eats!

Looking forward to Good Friday?

So I’m not sure about the rest of you but I’m ready for the summer to get here! School is really cracking down on me now because of final exams and final papers and the entire student body is just burnt out and lots of people are getting sick…boo! But don’t fret there is a light at the end of this dark tunnel…wow way to be over dramatic eh?! We do have a FOUR DAY WEEKEND to look forward to. Next Friday, March 2nd and Monday, March 5th we have those days off! Thank God…some could say literally…for Good Friday and Easter Monday. I have nothing special planned for that weekend, which is nice but Vancouver is hosting lots of “long weekend” parties. So why not start the weekend off right and  party hard on a Thursday. Venues such as The Academic, Republic, Library Square, etc So make sure you get on grabbing some tickets for whichever event you are interested in cause those tickets will be swept up quickly! If you’re not sure of what you want to do then check out sites such as clubzone for listing of events and venues. Otherwise if you want to take this time to stay in and relax that’s another option too but just remember you have FOUR DAYS to do it!

Elemental-The Show at Lake Louise

These next few days Vancouver will be buzzing once again with Winter fever because of the 2010 Paralympic games. However, for those of you are not in Vancouver for this eight day event don’t fret there is always something to do around Canada…trust me! If you happen to be in Lake Louise this weekend don’t miss the opportunity to witness one of the most majestic performances ever performed on the frozen glacial waters of Lake Louise. This series of outdoor performances will feature a cast of International and local Canadian Figure Skating stars. There are numerous activities to also be enjoyed both prior and following the performances. Take a look at their website to see if you are interested in purchasing some tickets. This event will run from Thursday March 18th till Sunday March 21st 2010 at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Check it out, this a do not miss event!
