INTERNeX Canada: What to do on the weekend!

The summer is over finally, and we need to look for alternative plans because it will probably rain during the weekend in Vancouver !!

INTERNeX goest to Victoria, to enjoy the amazing capital of British Columbia. We’ll enjoy the Empress Hotel, the Parliament Buildings, the Beacon Hill Park, the Inner Harbour, Chinatown…and enjoy the pubs and the best ice cream of Victoria !!

For those who are staying in Vancouver, here there are a few things you can do if the weather doesn’t allow you to enjoy the outdoor activities.

Option number 1: Go to the cinema and watch a movie !!

That’s without doubt my favorite option when it’s raining or just when I need to relax a little bit. You can also stay at home and watch in in your pc, but the experience of watching a movie in a big screen is more than worth it !! Right in Tinseltown International Village we have a Cineplex Odeon Cinema.

The movies are being played are:

  • Austenland
  • Blue Jasmine
  • Despicable Me 2
  • Ekstra
  • Lee Daniels’ The Butler
  • My lucky star
  • Nothing left to fear
  • One direction- This is us
  • Pacific Rim
  • The art of the steal
  • The conjuring
  • The grandmaster
  • The mortal instruments: City of Bones
  • The wolverine
  • This is the end

Where: Cineplex Odeon International Village Cinemas ( 88 West Pender Street, 3rd Floor )

Option number 2: Bowling !!

If you don’t like a lot the idea of going to the cinema, you can enjoy a nice afternoon bowling with your friends!

Right in downtown, there is a place called “Commodore Lanes & Billiards”.

They have 12 Lanes of 5-pin bowling, 21 billiard tables, arcade, fooseball tables and much more !!

Where: Commodore Lanes & Billiards. 838 Grandville Street.

I hope it helped guys !

Best,

Mercedes

INTERNeX Canada: Smart Saver Vancouver

Moving to an office located in a mall  can be an advantage for example when you find very nice restaurants and deals. (I know is pretty hard not to buy anything when you love to shop or so), but today I’m gonna tell you about a few interesting things I’ve found in Tinseltown – International Village.

It’s true that we have inside of Tinseltown a lot of cheap places where you can eat a huge variety of food: from Chinese to Mexican, all of them cheap and nice food but there are a few places that I specially recommend.

The first one is for lovers of Asian food: There is a restaurant called “Zen Kenit” in the second floor , where you can get a “all you can eat lunch” for $9.95. (This all you can eat mixes Asian cuisine, for example Chinese, and also Sushi) For the price the quality is really good, so it’s forth it !!

But if you don’t like Asian cuisine, I’ve found  another interesting offer for you. Quite close to the first Asian restaurant that I’ve told you there is a Mexican one called “TacoTime“.

In this nice restaurant every Tuesday the taco costs just $0.99 (You can choose between taco meat, or a veggie one). I’m pretty sure that this deal in unbeatable.

I hope you can try these amazing restaurants, and I wish you a great week!

Best,

Mercedes

INTERNeX Canada: Last day in the old office!

It’s Friday 19th, and it’s the last day we are working in this office. It’s time to say goodbye  and move to a better and nicer one.

We are glad to inform you that on Monday 22nd we are moving to a new location, a better location. As you can see in this map our new office is very close to our old one.

It’s at Tinseltown- International Village Mall (a ten minute walk from our present location).

A bigger, nicer and better location with all the amenities of the mall including a food court, cell companies, coffee shops, clothing stores, discount stores, pharmacies, cinemas, convenience stores and much more all next to the Stadium Skytrain station and literally steps from the middle of Downtown and Gastown.

Our new address is:

International Village

Suite 2077, 2079

88 West Pender Street

Vancouver, Canada V6B 9N9

In the following map you can see how to arrive from the Chinatown Skytrain Station.

I hope you can visit us in our office, and please, if you have any doubt how to arrive or so just let us know by email or facebook.

I also wish u a great weekend, and don’t forget to join us in our event to the amazing Deep Cove.

Tinseltown-Dinner & A Movie Anyone?

So looking for something to do this weekend!? Well there are lots of parties to go to this long weekend…but if you don’t think you can make it through all four nights partying, then maybe a a dinner and a movie might be a good way to spend one of the nights. And I can think of more than a few movies that might be of interest. If you guys haven’t already been to Tinseltown Cinemark (located at 88 West Pender Street) then you’ve been missing out! This theater has the city’s most comfortable seats ever and some of the best priced tickets too (if you go on a Tuesday Night, which is Cheap Movie Night, then you can watch a movie for just $8.75…can’t get much better than that!). Some of the movies that are headlining down at Tinseltown are…

“Green Zone”, featuring the dreamy Matt Damon or if you are looking for something a little more lighthearted perhaps “The Bounty Hunter” starring Jennifer Aniston & Gerard Butler. Two movies that are actually premiering this Friday are “Max Manus” which is actually a Norwegian film that tells the true story of one of Europe’s most celebrated World War II-era resistance fighters. And then other movie premiering is “Repo Men” which has an all star cast, including Jude Law, Forest Whitaker, Liev Schreiber etc

So if any of those sound interesting or you want to check out all of the over movies playing around Vancouver check out this amazing website!
