Experience IT Review – Lighthouse Park

Last weekend we went to Lighthouse Park! It was really beautiful and great to explore the park with you guys! Thank you!

Lighthouse Park is a park in West Vancouver. It is one of the most amazing scenic parks on the West Coast. There are lots of douglas firs and you can stand next to those giant trees. You can hike on lots of trails in the park and there are lots of amazing viewing points.

18361253_10209461065385627_85185842_n.jpgWe first started walking on one of the trails and got to a viewing point that showed us the sea and behind that the skyline of Vancouver. It was really amazing to see. Then we went to the lighthouse viewing point where we sat down. We had some lunch and enjoyed the great weather. After that we went on another trail trying to get closer to the lighthouse. We couldn’t get closer, but we did find a viewing point where we could see the whole lighthouse! We went on an adventure on the big rocks that were there and made some amazing pictures.

After 3 hours in the park we took the bus to Horseshoe Bay to get a coffee at Starbucks and enjoy the sun and view there.

I had an amazing day with all of you!! Hope to see you on the next PuB NiGHT!

INTERNeX Canada – How was your weekend?

This weekend a group of us ventured out to Grouse Mountain to hike the trails. It was an great day full of nature and excitement. For some people it only took 50 minutes to hike the mountain, while for others it took an hour and a half. Regardless of how long it took everyone to get to the top, we all had fun!

We also got to see a few of Grouse Mountain’s wild inhabitants while out on the trail. A couple of these animals were a pair of wolves and a grizzly bear. “Mother Nature’s Stairmaster” treated all of us well! It definitely gave a few of us a good workout!

We hope to see you all next weekend at Whistler to witness more of Mother Nature’s amazing scenery!

How was this weekend for the rest of you? Did you do anything exciting?

Cheers,

Your PR team

INTERNeX Canada: Fun Facts

Most people associate WHISTLER with skiing and snow. But did you know that Whistler originally became famous as a summer resort?

The story goes that the couple Alex and Myrtle Phillip heard about the beauty of the region and purchased land around what is Whistler today. The village developed and the beautiful lakes attracted first tourists who mostly entertained themselves with fishing. By the 1920s, Rainbow Lodge was one of the most popular summer destinations west of the Rocky Mountains.

Today, as Whistler is a well-known ski resort, the summer months bear even more activities. In fact, there is so much going on that Whistler is regularly rated as the world’s best year-round destinations. Take a look at these facts and you’ll know why:

  • More than 40 different summer activities (mountain biking, hiking, nature tours, sightseeing, …)
  • Tons of trails for hiking and mountain biking including incredible views
  • It’s a paddling paradise! With five lakes and numerous rivers Whistler has all water sports you can wish for
  • Endless après ski parties in more than 30 bars, clubs and lounges
  • If you wish for more than sports, shop in more than 200 retail shops

Sounds a lot – you can find out for yourself how much of it you manage to do in one weekend!
