As most of you spent a lot of money during your stay, it might be good to save some money as well. Even though we would like to save money, we still want to do as much as possible. These Smart Savers are the perfect option for some cheap activities.
Tuesday is the time for you to do some activities in Vancouver. Remember when we told you about the discounts on Tuesday at several cinemas? There are lots of free activities on Tuesday as well. Some museums in Vancouver offer free admission on certain days. Vancouver Art Gallery, for example, offers admission by donation on Tuesdays. So if you are really into arts, this is a great opportunity for you to see some.
No time on Tuesday? Then there are still plenty of activities left for you. The GMS observatory is all year round admission by donation as well. It is a place where you can take a look at the stars through a telescope. You can find this attraction next to the Space Centre. Time to let your inner astronaut free! Another option could also be the Burnaby Village Museum. This museum is free all year round, so there is plenty of time for you to visit it.
Besides that, the Vancouver Convention Centre offers free guided public tours throughout the year. During the guided tours they will talk about the rooftop, the wood used for the interior and the art exhibits. The place to be for interior designers, I would say. However, they only offer it at select days due to busy activities held in the Convention Centre. Check out their website for more information about their schedule for the public tours!
Lastly, you can also enjoy a day at the UBC Museum of Anthropology. Unfortunately, this museum is not free, but it is cheaper on Thursday evenings between 5 PM and 9 PM. If you liked the totem poles in Stanley Park, then you should definitely check out this museum. The exhibition entails artifacts and objects which have been created by the First Nations people. You get to know a bit more about the history of Vancouver and Canada by visiting this museum. The admission is normally $18. Save some money by going on Thursday evening with a ticket of only $10.
