Canadian cuisine varies depending on the regions of the country. I’m sure most of you know about the delicious butter tarts, kraft dinner or the famous poutine. Of course don´t forget the super-known maple syrup and the smoked salmon !!
But today, I´m going to introduce you a Canadian cocktail that I´m sure most of you don´t know and is known as a hangover cure.I´m talking about the cocktail “Caesar”.
This original drink was originated by 1969 by Walter Chell in Calgary. He declared he got his inspiration from Italy and created a drink similar to a Bloody Mary but with a uniquely spicy flavour.
It´s has a very special flavour, so you definitely should try while your stay in Canada.
The ingredients are the following ones:
- 6 oz. Clamato Juice
- 1–1½ oz. Vodka
- 2 Dashes hot sauce
- 4 Dashes Worcestershire sauce
- Celery salt
- Freshly ground pepper
- Lime wedge
- 1 Crisp celery stalk
The ingredients are poured into a glass rimmed with celery salt or a mixture of salt and pepper and garnished with a celery stalk and lime, and even if it was not included in the original recipe, a lot of places add tabasco sauce!!
Our PR-Team tried it last Friday, and in the picture you can see how funny it was the glass the pub used to serve it: a boot glass! Personally, I prefer another kind of drinks because I don´t like too much hot sauces, but it´s worth it to try it once!
