Review: Trip to Deep Cove

On Sunday it was time for our trip to Deep Cove, one of the nicest places around Vancouver. Unfortunately we were not lucky with the weather, it was a really cloudy and rainy Sunday.  But in hope that the weather will change later we decided to make us on the way to Deep Cove by bus. After the 45 minutes bus drive we arrived at Deep Cove but the weather did not change but that was no reason for us to do not enjoy this Sunday at Deep Cove.

First we went to a small, cozy cafe where we all had some coffee, muffins and of course doughnuts. Already before we went to Deep Cove a lot of people told us, that we should try the doughnuts there, they were right. When you go to Deep Cove, you definitely should try them as well! We used this “coffee time” to talk about a lot of different things, like our next plans, what to do on a rainy day in Vancouver and gave each other some tips and helps.  It was really nice in this cafe, so we stayed a really long time in this cafe. Later we walked along the coast of Deep Cove, it was still rainy but still nice to see this nice place. We definitely will do this trip again with sun and some kayaking or paddling! Afterwards we took the bus back to Downtown, most of us used the rest of the day for some shopping or even other activities in Vancouver.

Hope you all had a nice weekend and a great start in this sunny week. See you at the upcoming events!

Trip to Deep Cove

After this great weekend and the great Canada Day we are looking forward to have fun at the next weekend. Unfortunately we have to change our plans for the upcoming  weekend! Instead of playing paintball in North Vancouver we will drive to Deep Cove for having some fun together.

We will meet us on Sunday, 6th of July, at the bus stop at Pender Street / Seymour Street at 9:15 am to take the bus to Deep Cove. Please make sure, that you will be there in time because the bus departures just a few minutes later. It is weekend so you can drive with a zone 1 ticket, the bus drive takes about 45 minutes to arrive at Deep Cove. (bus schedule including map)

Deep Cove is the most famous place around Vancouver to kayak. In a circle of mountain you will appreciate the unique landscape. So we will use the time at Deep Cove for kayaking (about $40 – $50), stand up paddling (about $20) or maybe something else. Afterwards we will have lunch together and go for a short hike which is just about 30 minutes but hopefully with some great views and lots of fun.

Please note! – If you are under 19 and you want to rent a kayak or something else, please tell us before via Facebook, Mail etc. because you will need someone who signs for you!

So let’s cross the fingers that the weather will be nice on Sunday so we will have lots of fun together! We will be happy to see you there!!!
