Review: PuB NiGHT at Steamworks

Yesterday we went to Steamworks for PuB NiGHT and we had a great night! Thank you all for coming!

Steamworks is a really cool brewpub at Waterfront. They make their own beers and you can definitely see that in the pub. The pub is way bigger then you would think when you’re standing outside and we were located downstairs.

Some of you went to the Whitecaps game before PuB NiGHT, so in the beginning we were just a little group on a very big table. It did give us the chance to catch up and some people signed up for the upcoming Rockies trip. Because Steamworks is a brewpub they have a lot of different beers and everyone was trying something out. Personally I chose a beer cocktail named Oompa Loompa and it was amazing! After the game the rest joined us and we were once again the big group that we are used to.

Thanks for coming and we hope to see you this weekend or next PuB NiGHT!

Review: PuB NiGHT at Steamworks

A lot of you guys came to PuB NiGHT at Steamworks yesterday and it was amazing to share our stories from the Rockies trip. So thank you all for coming!

The pub is much larger than you would think when you’re standing outside. They have a downstairs area too with different seating areas and pool tables. Definitely a place to come back to.

Everybody came in early, which was great. Some of us decided to start off with a hot chocolate and others tried some cool drinks. We spend most of our night catching up on what everybody did during their long Easter weekend and we told them what we did in the Rockies. You can read these stories on the blog.

We hope to see you at the Vancouver Riptide game!

CelticFest – Experience IT Review

On Saturday we went to CelticFest at Robson square. It was great to see you even though a lot of you celebrated St. Patrick’s Day the night before. Thank you for coming!

During CelticFest we were celebrating the Irish national holiday St. Patrick’s Day. On this day, the Irish commemorate the holy Sint-Patricius. However, a lot of Irish people just see it as a day to celebrate being Irish and as a reason to drink. One of the activities organised during the week of St. Patrick’s Day is CelticFest. CelticFest is an annual festival being held throughout the city of Vancouver. There were several activities organised throughout the week. Some of these activities were free of charge, such as the parade and the CelticFest activities at Robson square.

We were really lucky with the weather. Saturday was a sunny day and therefore it was really nice to hang out at the CelticFest. At first we walked around and passed some small stands with green and Irish clothing. After that we watched a band playing some typical Irish music. Besides that we also watched an Irish dan17431010_10202849062023362_2021569902_oce performance at the Beer garden and at the Robson square. As the weather was so nice, we decided to go to Canada Place to watch the view. Then we went to Tap&Barrel and enjoyed some drinks, nachos and hummus. We also could not resist the free nacho refills. When we finally filled our stomachs, we finished our day with watching the seaplanes take off.

I hope you enjoyed the great weather this weekend! See you on PuB NiGHT!

Review: Pub Night @ Steamworks

First of all: Thanks to everyone who showed up yesterday! I was really happy to see you one more time 🙂
Yesterday we went for my “Goodbye Pub Night” to Steamworks.
Since our large table was downstairs and the Steamworks is bigger than expected, it was a bit tricky to get there.

At last everyone got it and we could enjoy food and drinks which was pretty good.
The Steamworks is worth visiting and if you are going to visit it, don’t miss the girl-washroom , hihi…… It’s really funny, you can share the toilette with your best friend. Come oooooon, that was always our dream, right??? Have a look at the picture 😀

I had a great last Pub Night, thank you guys!

Wish you still an amazing time here in Vancouver:) Enjoy it!

Don’t forget to sign up for the FlyOver Canada on Saturday and for the Halloween Party next Friday.

Portland Trip: further Information

Hi guys,

I ( Sophie) did the same trip to Portland last weekend cause I’m already back home in November.
It was a great trip: We arrived on Friday at 3:30 pm –> free time. At 6:30 we met up for the basketball game, it’s worth! You should go there, if you have the chance:)
On Saturday we had breakfast( which was ok)at 8:30 am and at 9:30 am we met up to go to the outlet center, where we could spent 3 and a half hours. We arrived back at the hotel at 2:30 pm and at 3 pm it was time to go to Portland Downtown, we visited the famous food trucks, the biggest bookstore on earth (Powell’s Books), the best Donuts at Voodoo Doughnut( people line up for two hours, it’s crazy :O), Saturday Market and the Waterfront. At the Pioneer Square you was able to continue shopping(here you could find stores like Victoria Secret, Apple, Abercrombie & Fitch, Apple, Nordstrom etc….). It is still cheap, because you don’t have to pay any taxes in entire Oregon( The residents have to pay higher incomes taxes, that’s why they don’t have any taxes on top of the prices). For example you get the regular Iphone 6(16GB) for $650 or a MacBookAir (11inch) for $899. For the girls: you can get a pair of uGG’s from $119 to $150….so cheap….for sure, Portland is the shopping-paradise:) But the city itself is really pretty, looks a bit like gastown:)
After the walking tour we were free to do whatever we want to do.
On Sunday we left the hotel at 9 am (after breakfast) and went to the Multnomah Waterfalls. We spent one hour there, it was pretty cool:)
Lunch break was at the same Shopping Mall as on Friday.
We arrived in Vancouver at 7 pm.
Our guide Lee was awesome….your guide will be Adam, he is really cool as well. They purchased Voodoo Donuts which we could enjoy on our way back to Vancouver.
I really really recommend this trip:)

You can still sign up and pay at the office ( remember in cash) for this event.
Join the event here.
If you have any questions about the trip, join us for our Pub Night today or just contact our Pr-Department.
