Today INTERNeX’s blog post highlights of the months April, May and June. The second quarter started really well. One of our previous interns had the honor of accompanying one of the placement managers at INTERNeX to a Blenz Coffee Tradeshow at Hyatt Regency Hotel in Downtown Vancouver. You can read and see here what INTERNeX did at this event. I think it’s great that she was able to tell the franchise owners about what INTERNeX is and how they can benefit from the use of our service.
I don’t like to ski because I’m not good at it (yet) but I love to see other people skiing. In April 2010 there was the Whistler Cup, an international ski event. It’s the largest and most important ski race in North America for athletes aged 11 – 14 years. For many of the young Canadian athletes this was the first opportunity they had to meet and ski with the world’s best. Read about it here
In May 2010 Vancouver has been ranked the top Canadian city. So for the people who aren´t here yet, you just might want to come here! For more information how you can work, live and learn in Vancouver, click here. I have been in Vancouver for 6 weeks now and believe me, it’s worth it!
Of course we can’t forget Toronto’s CFC worldwide Short Film Festival in this summary. During this festival, several 90-minutes programs were shown throughout the city. Each program showed five to twenty-two films at different locations throughout Toronto.
Last but not least, Toronto’s Bike Month! The whole month June (2010) was dedicated to the bike. There were a lot of crazy activities for example free breakfast when you brought your own bike. Bike month is an annual event designed to promote the use of bikes in the city. Read about it here I love cycling and I bought my own bike a few weeks ago but still I prefer the bus when it’s raining.
This was what INTERNeX found interested just after the winter en just before the summer. Tomorrow we will publish the INTERNeX 2010 Blog Review – 3. Quarter.
Hope you enjoyed it!
