What to do on the weekend ?

Hello boys and girls!

Another week is over, so we will check out what is going on in Vancouver this weekend. It seems that the weather will not be so good (Saturday cloudy/sunny, Sunday rain), but this would not stop our activities.

All of you should know, that there is the Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival from Friday, June 21 to Sunday, June 23. The huge three-day event will take place around the creek at Concord Pacific Place, Creekside, and of course, in the waters.  The city´s biggest Dragon Boat celebration will also feature live music, entertainment, food, shopping, family fun, and local artisans.  It is definitely worth a visit! There will be no entry fee.

In addition to that the International Jazz Festival 2019 takes place this weekend in Downtown Vancouver. If you are interested in Jazz music, you should come to the Robson Square. The festival lasts two days, namely on the 22nd and 23rd June. You don´t have to pay for a lot of concerts. On both days different musicians are going to perform between 12pm and 9pm. To see the exact entry-free concert program, look at the website www.vancouversbestplaces.com .

Finally I want to remind you of our INTERNeX event on Sunday. We have planned a Barbecue at the Spanish Banks Beach. If you look at the current weather report, there will be rain on Sunday. And a Barbecue in the rain is definitely not fun.

Due to that we will go out for Burger eating all together. We reserved a table on Sunday, the 23rd June at the White Spot (405 Dunsmuir St, Vancouver, BC V6B 1X4) at 6pm.

We would be very happy if a lot of you come along for eating burgers with us. 48002939878_390603280c_o.jpeg

Those who have already paid for the BBQ can either pick up their money in the INTERNeX office or get it back at the dinner on Sunday.

Enjoy your weekend☺

How was your weekend?

It is nearly Christmas. And the Christmas spirit is already in the air. I saw a lot of snow and dressed up nicely for Christmas. I hear you already thinking ‘Huh, what did he do?’ Well, read on and find out!

It was an early Saturday morning when it was time to catch the bus to Whistler. We met at Canada Place, where our bus was ready to bring us to the biggest ski area in British Colombia. After two hours of barely sleeping we arrived at ‘the place to be’ for snow fans. It was huge! We went in so many lifts and we did so many slopes, but we still not saw it all in this one-day trip. After a lot of hours on the mountain, we drank some beers at the après ski before heading back to Vancouver.

After the plates where empty, everybody was ready to exchange gifts during the Secret Santa game. We saw a lot of happy faces when everybody unpacked their presents. When the game was over, it was time for the real Christmas Party. We went across the street for some line dance classes at the Yale Saloon. We already came in the cowboy mood, so some people decided to ride the bull as well. We spent some time on the dance floor and had a great night.

Thanks to everyone who joined us this Christmas Party. If you missed it this time, you have another chance at our Christmas party in the office. And we hope to see you of course at our last PuB NiGHT of the year in 131 Water this Wednesday.
