PuB NiGHT Review: The Beaver Tap house

 

Another Wednesday, another PuB NiGHT! Besides it was my second PuB NiGHT with the INTERNeX gang and my first PuB NiGHT I had to organize. After some researche I decided to reserve the Beaver Tap House. I wasn´t there before but their Internet review sounded good. 

At the end of the night I probably can say, it was a good choice. I think everybody had a great evening. 

After we managed that everybody had a good seat, we talked a lot about everything and everybody. I also met some new faces yesterday. 

Furthermore it is to mention, that a special of the Beaver Bar is the famous music bingo every Wednesday. A song is played and you have to mark the singer and song title on your paper. Quite tough sometimes, but with team work we managed. In the first round Lukas and another girl, not from us, screamed BINGO simultaneously. But unfortunately she got the free Beer pitcher… 

All in all the music bingo was really funny, and I am sure that someone of us will win the next time.

We left the Beaver Bar at about 11:30 pm, but some of us were not tired at this time yet. Because of that a part of the INTERNeX group went on to the Yale Saloon. At the Yale we were almost the only ones, which is why the DJ played the Tequila song especially for us. The dance floor was only occupied by INTERNEX people. It was pretty cool to dance together with 10 other guys in an empty Pub 😀

At the end of this blog post, I like to say that I had a great time last night and I hope you did too! Thanks for coming!

Now I´m really looking forward to the weekend.

Cause that’s when our great Whistler trip is coming up. I hope to see many of you there again.

Review: PuB NiGHT at Mahony and Sons

Yesterday’s PuB NiGHT was at Mahony and Sons at Canada Place. It was great to see you all there! Thank you all for coming!

Mahony and Sons is a pub which gives you a bit of an Irish feeling, as they use a lot of wood in all of their pubs. You also have the possibility to sit outside, as they have terraces at all 3 locations, which is great on a sunny day. The pub is one of our favourites in Vancouver, because they have a pretty good deal on Wednesdays, namely Wine Wednesday. This means that all the wine bottles are 50% off. Mahony and Sons also offers great food, so it is definitely worth checking out.

This time we were placed on a long table next to the window, which would normally be a great spot for a nice view of the mountains. We started off talking about your plans in the weekend and about your week so far. After a while we also started to talk about the gifts we bought for family and friends. As it was Blanca’s last night, the books showed up and she had to write a few messages in them. To finish her last night well, some of you went to the Met for karaoke.

It was great to catch up with all of you again! I hope to see you on Sunday at the Vancouver Pride Parade!

Review: PuB NiGHT at the Granville Room

Yesterdays PuB NiGHT was at the Granville Room, and although it didn’t really start of on the best terms, we had such a great night again in the end.

The Granville Room is part of the Donelly pub Group. This bar is located in the heart of the Granville Entertainment District. This cocktail bar serves an extensive list of classic and signature drinks, but you can also get yourself a nice craft beer. They have some pretty sweet deals everyday, like the half priced bottles of wine on Wednesdays.

It was a crowded group since some people took along new friends of them, which isalways fun. In no time there were quite some bottles of wine on the table, since we discovered the sweet deal. Some other people got themselves into the cocktails though, because it is a cocktail bar after all. With the fun music playing I even found people showing their dance moves a bit!

I had a really fun night and I hope you all did to! Tonight we are getting more cultural at the Museum of Anthropology, so I hope to see you all there at 6pm

Review: PuB NiGHT at Mahony & Sons Burred Landing

Yesterdays PuB NiGHT was at Mahony & Sons at Canada Place and it was great! Unfortunately it was the last PuB NiGHT for some of us, but we made the best of it. Thank you guys for joining!

There are three Mahony & Sons pubs in Vancouver, all run by the same family. At Canada Place they also have an outdoor terrace with amazing views over North Vancouver, but it was still a bit too chilly for that now. We always enjoy these Irish pubs, especially because they have wine Wednesdays with 50% off every bottle of wine.

It is kind of a weird time since quite some people are leaving by now, but we also have new people coming in! It was great to see three new people joined and blended in so well.

Last time we had a PuB NiGHT here it was all about the Rockies trip and I was glad to hear this topic was going over the table again since we are going again in August! It is really nice to see so many of you want to join us on this amazing trip and are already making travel plans with your buddies.

I hope you had as much fun as I did! Enjoy the sunny days that are coming now and we hope to see you at the International Jazz Festival!

Review: PuB NiGHT at Malone’s

Yesterday’s PuB NiGHT was great again! We were with such a big group, thank you all so much for coming!

Malone’s is a combination of a social lounge and a taphouse, where you can eat, drink and play pool. On Wednesdays you get a discount on wine and whiskeys. The food is also really good!

We first had two tables, but after a while so many showed that we also took the other table next to us. It was really great to talk with you guys about the camping trip and for some their USA trip. It is always nice to hear so many great stories about your time here in Vancouver and Canada. As it was one of my last PuB NiGHTs I got kind of sad that I have to say ‘see you later’ to all of you so soon, I love our PuB NiGHTs and events together!

I hope to see all of you again tomorrow at the Richmond Night Market!
