INTERNeX won the LTM Award 2011!

We are thrilled to share with you that INTERNeX has been voted as the winner under the category of LTM Star Work Experience Provider at the LTM Star Awards 2011 on Saturday 3 September at the Hilton on Park Lane Hotel, London.

The Language Travel Magazine (LTM) is the only business-to-business publication written for, and read by, student recruiters and educational consultants in over 110 countries, every month.

The LTM Star Awards recognizes popularly voted providers that excel in their area of the international language education industry and these are unique peer-voted awards in this industry.

And we have won the coveted LTM Star Work Experience Provider title!

We were happy to be shortlisted two years in a row, but winning the 2011 award is just amazing!

PuB NiGHT Review – GO CANUCKS GO!!

Hi all!

Last night we had our special INTERNeX PuB NiGHT again together with Moose and SWAP. We all gathered at the Bourbon to watch the Canucks game that started at 6 pm. Even though everyone was very tired from the awesome trip to the Rockies last weekend, a lot of you still came to the PuB NiGHT! The game started very early so we all ordered pizza and of course drunk a couple of beers.

The game was a really exciting, because in the last 30 seconds the Canucks scored a goal that made it 2-2. Finally in the second overtime the Canucks won the game! Of course everyone went crazy, because this means that the Vancouver Canucks are now headed to the Stanley Cup Final! We can’t wait to see the next game. Go Canucks Go!! We hope you had a great time last night and you also had the chance to meet our new intern Elke!

We are sorry to announce that next Wednesday there will be no PuB NiGHT due to our INTERNeX Networking Reception that will take place on the 1st of June. We would love to see you again on the Wednesday after that! 😀

How Was Your Weekend?

Hi people, I hope your weekend was as good as mine, because I had a great weekend! On Friday we went with some INTERNeXers to Malone’s to watch the Canucks play against the Chicago Hawks. We were in the bar already 2 hours before the game to make sure we had a spot to sit, however when we walked into the bar it was already packed!! Luckily we still got a spot at the bar in front of the big screen, so we could watch the game. It was an exciting game and OF COURSE the Canucks won with 4-3!! After the game, some of us went to a club and others went to another pub to celebrate the victory!!

On Saturday Elvera, Roy and I went to the Holland Store in New West Minister. We have all been here for quite a while now and now we start to miss the real typical Dutch food! In this store you can buy almost everything they sell in a normal Dutch supermarket, so Elvera, Roy and I were like kids in a candy store. We bought frikandellen (meat), ranja (squash), speculaas (cookies), Dutch tea, paprika flavored chips and more. So, for everyone who is Dutch or just loves Dutch food, you should really go there!

My weekend ended with a relaxing Sunday. I was just enjoying the weather and chilling in a quiet staffhouse, which is not really common if you live with 18 people ;).
