What to do on the weekend

Finallyyy, it’s time again for our INTERNeX monthly event. Looking for something thrilling to do this sunny weekend? Well, buckle up because we’ve got an exhilarating plan for you and some more ideas! 🥳

We’re coming a little closer to summer and therefore wanna use the good weather as much as possible, so we’re doing TWO very cool things outside. How about embarking on a 2-day adventure filled with camping under the stars AND navigating wild rapids during a river rafting tour? Sounds like a blast, doesn’t it? 🌊

Now, here’s the scoop: the weather forecast is calling for absolute perfection, making it the ideal time to take on the rapids and conquer the river of Chilliwack! Imagine the rush of adrenaline as you and your crew paddle through the twists and turns of the river. It’s a heart-pounding adventure that promises to leave you breathless and craving for more.🤪

But hold on, the excitement doesn’t end there! After the pulse-pounding rafting expedition, we’ll set up camp amidst the beautiful scenery right next to the river. Whether you’re up for a game of volleyball, eager to explore the surrounding wilderness, or simply looking to unwind by the crackling campfire while toasting marshmallows, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. And let’s not forget the unforgettable moments that come with sharing stories and laughter under the night sky.✨That’s always my favourite part of camping while making memories that will last a lifetime!

So, you might not be joining us for the epic camping and rafting trip this weekend, but fear not! There’s still plenty of excitement to be had under the sun. With the weather looking absolutely fabulous, it’s time to seize the day and head outdoors for some fun!

During the daytime, why not lace up your hiking boots and hit the trails? And if you’re up for a real adventure, look no further than Grouse Mountain. Nestled amidst stunning natural beauty, Grouse Mountain offers breathtaking views and endless hiking opportunities. And here’s a tip: if you’re not keen on the uphill trek or you’re short on time, you can hop on the chairlift and be whisked to the top in just 14 minutes. How cool is that?

But that’s not all – Grouse Mountain is also home to two majestic grizzlies, Grinder and Coola, who reside in the refuge camp.🐻It’s a unique opportunity to observe these incredible creatures up close and learn all about wildlife conservation efforts. And after a day of exploring and hiking, why not treat yourself to a scenic ride back down on the Skyride? For just $20 per person, you can soak in the stunning views one last time before calling it a day.

If you’re not into hiking that’s totally fine, but you should definitely get out. Especially on a sunny day you shouldn’t miss out on the beautiful sunsets Vancouver has to offer. I mean is there anything that can top a sunset at the end of a beautiful day/- oh yeah one thing: watching the sunset at the sea right It’s just a totally different experience and absolutely beautiful how the water reflects on the water. In Vancouver you’ve got plenty of options, therefore check out Kitsilano beach or the English bay beach. If you prefer a little calmer surrounding you should check out the Lighthouse park. Definitely climb on one of the rocks out there and you’ll feel as if you’re part of the sea. Also its pretty likely to see super cute seals and if you’re lucky enough, you’ll even be able to see dolphins. Just a little tip: enjoy the sunset to the fullest but definitely make sure to walk back while it’s not completely dark yet so you won’t triple as we did 🤣

So, whether you’re craving an adrenaline-pumping hike or a chance to connect with nature and wildlife, we hope our ideas have got you covered. 😊

Enjoy the sunny weekend!
