PuB-Night Review

And it’s over again – my favorite day of all weekdays.
This week we went to the Moose’s Down Under and again it was great to see that so many people joined us last night! Thanks for that!IMG_4755.JPG
Besides that, we actually got a lot to celebrate last night. Starting off with our newest arrival Simon, being introduced to our group. Since we are a super friendly and easy-going group, he became part of the group very quickly!
Furthermore we actually got a birthday to celebrate and one to “belate-celebrate”. (I don’t know if that is an actual thing … I guess now it is!)
So Happy Birthday once again to Sarah and Laura!
After a few drinks and some really nice food, we went on to the next location. There was no need of discussing which place it will be and I am pretty sure you know already. So just a bus drive later we found ourselves in The Yale Saloon once again.
As they had Jager Bombs on special and since we are always appreciating ways to safe some money, we didn’t loose much time make use of this offer. And after this it seemed like the right thing to do, to sign up for the Bull-riding competition …. Just in case you want to see some more pictures and videos than I will provide up here, check out our Instagram story! After all, we were the lucky winners of a $50 gift card for drinks. Truly the best price to win! 8e2b481b-97bb-40f9-bad9-b38ea8618d44.JPG
The Jager Bombs we got out of this, even gave me enough confidence to try out Line-Dancing. And thanks to the very patient teachers, it kinda looked like some real Line Dance after all!
Thank you guys, I really enjoyed it.
I am already looking forward to next week!
Next PuB-Night will be at the Beaver, 7pm.
See you there!
Cheers,

PUB NIGHT REVIEW

Fore last night was Trivia Night at Moose’s Down Under. We had a lot of fun and we really tried our best to answer at least some questions but most of them were so specific that our general knowledge wasn’t enough. 22185858802_8ba211742b_bLooks like we all need to study up some more! I actually wouldn’t have expected that it’s so hard to answer the questions right although I was warned about that before. Nevertheless it was lots of fun guessing the different kind of issues. To be honest we were guessing almost every time or actually we would have known more if they had accepted the German answers as well. Even at the mini games in between the four quiz rounds we were so bad though actually the only thing you need to win these games is a bit of luck. Since our group was knocked out after every first round of mini games we obviously hadn’t that much luck. We had to split up into two teams because we were too many people and you are only allowed to play in a group of 6 participants to win the jackpot. For us it didn’t matter … we were too bad anyways.

9957210503_50b7753078_bMoreover we weren’t there to win the game we were there to have fun, spend time together and to extend a warm welcome to our new candidates. I guess everyone agree with me.

On Saturday we will meet up to prepare for Halloween. There are only two weeks left therefore it is time to find a suitable outfit for this occasion. Did you already think about a Halloween costume? I informed myself about the Halloween trends 2015. As I read, the most popular costume trends include superheroes (e.g. Batman, Superman), science fiction stars (e.g. Star Wars characters), the Minions and throwback Thursday outfits (e.g. back to 90s outfits). As far as I’m concerned I prefer a “traditional” costume such as zombies or other spooky creatures. But we will see what the stores have plenty to offer.

Let’s get in a terrifying Halloween mood by shopping some costumes on Saturday.

Looking forward to Halloween!

PuB NiGHT Review – Trivia Night @ Moose’s Down Under

Our team Die Gummibärenbande tried its best to answer last night’s trivia questions but some of them were really difficult. Looks like we all need to study up some more!

It was still lots of fun guessing at random questions and playing the mini games in between.
After the trivia event ended some of us got into talking about television shows we used to watch when we were children. We had shows like the Teletubbies, Power Rangers and also series specific to our own countries come up. That was quite a nostalgic ride back into our childhoods!

Soon after Moose’s Down Under was beginning to close up so we decided to move on to the next place, especially because since it was Laura’s, one of our INTERNeXers, last night in Canada. We went to her favorite pub the Blarney Stone! Here we had a couple more farewell drinks while everyone wrote goodbye notes on a flag to remember us by.
Eventually, we had to reluctantly call it a night and parted ways with promises of a reunion someday.
You always meet twice, right?

Cheers

PuB NiGHT Review

PuB NiGHT @ Moose’s Down Under

We throw our hands up in defeat!
For the second time, we braved the stage of trivia at Moose’s Down Under for the weekly Pub Night with 2 of our teams. One team name was Schwarzwälderkirsch Torte (just because we wanted toIMG_1729 mess with the game master when she called out our team) and the other was named Trivia-Noobs. No name could have been truer for this night.

By the way, Schwarzwälderkirsch Torte which is German and means Blackforest Cake , actually put up a decent fight. While…well, let’s leave it at that. 😀

Even so, we tried our best and still managed to scrap together some points at least!

After the trivia games ended we stuck around for a little but eventually moved on to Cambie’s for more fun and drinks.
Again we had a great time meeting new people and getting to know them better.
Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Cheers!

Review: Pub Night @ Moose’s Down Under

Yesterday we went for a great pub night at Moose’s Down Under Bar and Grill. On this evening a bit of extra entertainment was delivered by a couple of groups participating in the Weekly Trivia. They were enthusiastically competing in general knowledge. Every now and then people cheered loudly because someone managed to answer a difficult question. Apparently somebody also celebrated his or her birthday which added a bit bit extra to the cheerful atmosphere.

The bar served all kinds of interesting drinks of which the names probably shouldn’t be spelled out here. Let’s just say that quite a few of the names of course referred to sex… you can guess the rest. The Australian inspired food was good and nicely served by the friendly and sometimes a bit entertaining staff at Moose’s Down Under.

Once again, it was great to see a lot of you Internex members turning up. It was also very nice to hear about all of your travel experiences. Hope you all had a good evening, and hope to see you again for yet another pub night next Wednesday at 7pm as always. Click here to view a few more pictures from the evening at Moose’s Down Under.
