How was the weekend?

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, even though it was a little rainy. I think this week is supposed to be better though… fingers crossed! Anyway, let’s recap a bit, shall we?

So this weekend INTERNeX went to play some more laser tag because we had so much fun last time! This weekend there were also even more people there, which made it even more fun! 😄 We played a total of 2 games, both of them were team-games. But the first one was random, so we were all in different teams. During the first game there was also a group of children that played with and against us, which was sooo difficult lol! All the barriers are super low and of course the kids can just walk by without being seen or tagged. Meanwhile we’re literally breaking our backs and destroying our knees trying to duck and hide lol! The second game was against people our age though – thank god haha! This time we were all in one team and played against another group. And this time our enemies were exhausted too lol! Not to brag, but we actually won both games so… I guess you could call us the laser tag champions or whatever. 😌 Overall, it was a super fun experience and I definitely recommend you go check it out sometime cause it’s kinda like a workout but with way more fun!

On Saturday we also went to Granville Island. It actually didn’t really start raining until later though, which was good for us cause we took some awesome pictures! We also went to a bunch of cute shops – let me tell you: if you’re looking for souvenirs or gifts, Granville Island is the place to go! All the shops have really cute and unique stuff that you can bring home! We also went to the public market to try some awesome food. The Mexican food is soooo good, you should definitely check it out! After that we tried some cakes and a Nanaimo bar… it was honestly probably the best Nanaimo bar I’ve ever eaten here! There are lots of bakeries with so many delicious treats, so if you have a sweet tooth, you know where to go! 😉

What did you do this weekend? Did you also do a little workout? Or maybe you tried some of the incredible local food? Make sure to tell me all about it next Pub Night!

What to do on the weekend?

Can you believe we’re already into the second week of March?! I feel like time is literally flying by!! Anyway, are you guys excited for the weekend? If you’re still looking fo something to do, don’t worry, you’ve come to the right place because I have some awesome suggestions for you! 😄

Firstly, you can join INTERNeX for a fun night of laser tag Sunday night! We’ve done laser tag before and loved it so much that we were like “Why not do it again?” – so that’s exactly what we’re doing this Sunday! 😄 The arena has a special Sunday night deal where all the games are only $8!! Laser tag is honestly a really fun activity that you can do with your friend group and it’s also likely that you’ll meet some new people there. To be honest, it’s also quite the workout lol! We underestimated it a little bit last time, but this time we’re gonna come prepared! You move around a lot, have to hide and duck all the time and you gotta run from your enemies. So if you’re thinking about going, make sure to wear a short-sleeve! Other than that, just don’t take it too seriously and have fun (I feel like I gotta take my own advice lol I’m very competitive)!

Since it’s supposed to rain this weekend (again!), I suggest staying inside. Maybe you could do a little bit of shopping in downtown or head over to Park Royal. Another great place to be during rainy days is Granville Island. There are sooo many cute shops there, where you can buy the best souvenirs and little gifts for yourself or your loved ones! While you’re there, I recommend you also check out the Public Market! It has soooo many awesome food options and there’s bound to be something for everyone lol. There’s also The Improv Centre on Granville Island. They always do a bunch of amazing comedy shows all throughout the week: they have stand up comedy, improv classes, and my favourite: improv comedy shows! They’re so fun and unique, since it’s all improvised. That means no one’s gonna see that same show ever again, which is just such a cool thing to think about! If you haven’t been there yet or are looking to have some laughs, I strongly recommend checking it out!

Whatever you decide to do this weekend, I hope you have fun and are able to explore some new things you haven’t seen or done before!

What to do on the weekend?

Looking for ideas for what to do in Vancouver this weekend? Well, look no further because I have some awesome suggestions for you!

Firstly, you can join INTERNeX for Vancouver’s original street food festival! 😄 “Street Food City 12” is celebrating its 12th year anniversary and it’s taking place right outside the Vancouver Art Gallery. There’s a bunch of food trucks with all kinds of food options! This festival is part of the “Dine Out” festival, which I recommend checking out as well. A lot of restaurants in Vancouver are participating in this festival and they have a special Dine Out menu with multiple course meals. It’s a lot of different types of food, so there’s definitely something for everyone!

Another festival that’s happening at the moment is Vancouver’s Hot Chocolate Festival. Honestly, this one is literally just an excuse to treat yourself to some nice hot chocolate lol! But there’s a bunch of different unique and exotic flavours! Some cafés also have some other fun options like Honolulu Coffee where you can do calligraphy art on the hot chocolate! 🤩 You get a white hot chocolate, a shot of edible ink and a brush pen (that is actually complimentary to take home) and you can draw whatever you want on your drink!! They have 3 different locations that are all participating, so if you’re feeling creative, this is the place to go!

Unfortunately, the weather is supposed to be rather rainy (in Vancouver?? Who would’ve thought?!), so I recommend staying inside. You could go watch a movie with some friends or do a little shopping trip to the mall. Another great place to be during rainy days is Granville Island. There are sooo many cute shops where you can look for some souvenirs or small gifts and while you’re at it you should also check out the Public Market! It’s indoors and has some amazing food & snacks!

Whatever you decide to do, I hope you have fun! If you do try one of the Dine Out restaurants or a hot chocolate, please let me know how it was! I’d love to hear about it next Pub Night! 😊

What to do on the weekend?

What to do on the weekend? Ready to for some exploring? I would dare to guess that the answer is yes, so here are some suggestions of what you should do this weekend.

The East Indian Vaisakhi Parade is in town this Saturday. And now you may wonder, “What is that?” Say no more, here are some facts about the event. The Vaisakhi Parade is one of Vancouver’s most interesting festivals, which celebrates the Punjabi New Year. And where is it going to happen? The parade starts from the Ross Street Temple at 8000 Ross Street just off Marine Drive in South Vancouver. The festival lasts approximately from 10 am to 4 pm.10141279593_02bcd4f4ec_o.jpg

So what’s there to see? Besides being Vancouver’s largest single-day festival of any kind and having around 300,000 people attending, you can also find multiple delicious treats all around the parade. And here comes the best part: it’s for free! You may want to try a curry lunch, ice cream, chips, soft drinks and so much more. Here is an event you don’t want to miss.

On Sunday it is time to turn our heads towards the Granville Island. You can find Lukas at Westbound W 4th Ave @ Fir St. at 11 am where the trip starts. From there you will go explore the amazing Granville Island which offers a great variety of things to do, such as shopping, arts & culture, food & drinks and of course the Public Market. There you can find fresh and delicious goods of all kind. Granville Island is definitely worth seeing. Hope you will enjoy your day there.

Seems like it is going to be a weekend full of eating? Well, there is nothing wrong with that ☺ Enjoy!

Experience IT Review – Granville Island

Yesterday the INTERNeX family went to Granville Island. Thank you for coming!

Granville Island is a small island next to downtown Vancouver. You can go there by aquataxi or by bus. The main attraction on Granville Island is the public market where you can get delicious food and fresh groceries. Once there you can also choose to go to the Granville Island Brewery, one of the first breweries in Vancouver. There you can get good tasters.

19197638_10209199577487499_160227860_oIt was great weather for a Granville Island day; the sun was shining and lots of people were sitting outside enjoying the food they bought. A lot of the outside terraces were open, which made it much more lively on the streets of Granville Island. We first went to the public market, where we did a quick round. It took a long time before we found the best deal, as there are a lot of stands where they sell veggies and fruits. After we checked out several stands, I decided to be a bit more healthy and bought some nice and big strawberries. Then we checked out all the food stands of Granville Island. I keep getting amazed by their big variety and it therefore took a while before I got my bratwurst. When we filled our stomaches, we decided to go to downtown to do some shopping for the summer.

I hope you all had a great weekend and see you at PuB NiGHT!
